MTG articles[edit]

Not sure if you're aware, but the MTG Archive is a wiki devoted just to Magic. Your new articles, especially the set pages, would be a welcome addition. Plus, a lot more about Magic can be added there, since Wikipedia is probably not the right place for some things.

If you're willing to, create an account there and copy any of your original (unmodified by others) content to there. I've done this for a few things, and I'm sure the guy running it will be happy to see more people participating. -- Netoholic @ 5 July 2005 20:56 (UTC)

Star Trek survey[edit]

Hello. You seem interested in Star Trek material. Please see my Wikipedia:Non-canon Star Trek survey. Thanks. JIP | Talk 09:39, 13 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Michael Matz, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Merge suggestion: State Roads in the Florida Keys[edit]

I see you didn't waste any time suggesting a merge with State Roads in Florida. Keeping in mind the length and format of the destination article, how do you propose to merge them to maintain the integrity of the information? B.Wind 03:46, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nissan "Open"[edit]

Thank you for correcting the article I created. I've been making so many articles about golf "Classics" and "Opens", that I tend to mix it up sometimes. :) Dakpowers | Talk 19:19, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ROH moves[edit]

I'm unclear as to why these moves are necessary. Many other championship articles here are under acronyms (WWE, IWGP, AJPW, NWA, even clearly lesser-known companies such as FWA, PWG, FIP, CZW, and JAPW). Will you be moving them all or something? Tromboneguy0186 00:46, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're probably right about the defense lists, but the titles themselves are pretty easily identifiable. I'll look back it at later Tromboneguy0186 10:10, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks...and a question[edit]

Hi, Grev --

I hope I'm doing this right! Have a question regarding state route signs -- how do I request them? I have very good graphics software, so I could produce them myself, but I am missing the particular font that is used for the numbers. I've made a major update to Ohio 84, so please check it out. Feedback greatly welcomed. I have plans for many more updates to NEO state highways, as I grew up there.

Thanks for the help,

Don --Homefryes 11:57, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note to let you know the article has been completely rewritten in the time since you voted on AfD. dryguy 15:53, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ohio State Highway WikiProject[edit]

Hello, I’ve proposed some changes to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Ohio State Highways – please see the discussion on the talk page. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Regards, Homefryes 16:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think we need to come to an agreement on the infobox. There has been discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Ohio_State_Highways#Infobox regarding whether cities should be included, and ultimately whether we should use Infobox road, which is more commonly used across other sibling projects. Your opinion is sought about the Frank Caliendo article[edit]

An anonymous editor keeps adding what is in my opinion, extremely trivial information to the Frank Caliendo article. I am soliciting the opinion of other editors who have edited this article about the appropriateness of this "information" to the article. Please review the details at Talk:Frank Caliendo#Consensus about inclusion of specific football predictions and if you desire, add your thoughts to this section. Oiso's top 8s[edit]

I reverted your incrementation of Masashi Oiso's top 8s to seven on the Pro Tour (Magic: The Gathering) page. That is incorrect; including Yokohama, he has six Top 8s. If you checked the history of the article, you would have seen that the article had already been updated for his Top 8 in Yokohama. —Lowellian (reply) 19:59, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dayton, Ohio Roads Meet[edit]

Hi - This is Dan, not only a more frequent contributor to the Ohio Roads Project, but also the webmaster of Ohio Highway Ends (http://www.state-ends.com/ohio/). I just wanted to give you a heads up that there is a gathering of roads enthusiasts, if you will, taking place in Dayton on Saturday, 5/10 at Logan's Road House, 2819 Centre Dr., Fairborn, OH 45324. The first part is a meet-and-greet over lunch, giving people a chance to shoot the breeze, with some attendees potentially bringing some interesting maps, atlases, pictures and more. There may even be a freebie or two floating out there at the gathering (such as a free map). After lunch, we'll divide up and take a tour of some highlights from Dayton area highways, including the almost-completed I-70/75 interchange (the "Freedom Veterans' Crossroads"), reconstruction of the I-75/OH 4 interchange, the newly-reconstructed US 35 through downtown Dayton, and a side tour to an historic crossroad: Dixie Highway & the National Road. We should be wrapped up with the tour by 4:30-5:00 PM. That's a brief synopsis of what the event will entail; I am sending a special invite to all of the Ohio Roads Project editors. If you have the opportunity on that day, I would like to invite you to join us. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP, please let me know in the coming days. Thanks, and have a great week! WikiProject Ohio Newsletter[edit]

Issue II - May 2008
From the editor:

Here's Issue II of the project newsletter. We're trying to decide if this is sinking or floating. If you would like to contribute to next month's newsletter please jump right in at the News Desk! Have a great May.

The Ohio Portal

The maintainers of the Ohio Portal are looking to get it to featured status. They would like to ask all project members to help improve it any way they can. What needs to be done most is the supplying of selected articles and images.

Selected Article: Indian Head Rock

There is a eight ton rock in Ohio that was removed from the Ohio River. This rock is known as the Indian Head Rock Dating back to the early 1800’s, this rock was seen sticking out of the Ohio River and used as a navigational mark for barges along the river. The names of citizens from the town of Portsmouth, Ohio are carved into the rock from the late nineteenth a early twentieth centuries. Some of the names were of well known families from Ohio. They would swim out to the rock, have their picture taken with it or simply carve their names into it.
With the advent of the Locks and Dams along the Ohio River, the rock eventually was submerged, but the legend lived on. A gentleman from Ironton, Ohio located the rock after searching a very long time for it, and he and a crew of scuba divers recovered the rock and took it to the shore to be donated to Ohio for historical value.
After hearing the news about the rock being removed, Kentucky introduced legislation against the removal of the rock. They also want the diver who found it to be prosecuted for removing the rock. Kentucky owns the greatest part of the land the river runs on. Even the Army Corp. of Engineers got involved as to how to move the rock without damaging it. Kentucky wants to have it returned to the river.

Getting the Project Moving
  • WikiProject Ohio as an entity doesn't have as much action as other state projects. For this reason it has been proposed that the inactive WikiProject Ohio Townships be added as our taskforce. There is a !poll going on at WT:OH and your opinion is essential in the matter!
  • Stepshep has also proposed sending an invite to everyone in Category:Wikipedians in Ohio with an invite to join the project. If you are already a member you would not receive the notice of course. Once again, please note your opinion on the project talkpage.

The Central Avenue Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located at 201 to 338 Central Avenue in Dayton, Ohio. It consists of late 19th and 20th Century Revival-style houses as well as late Victorian-style houses, which were all originally single-family residences.

On December 16, 1982, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Each month a new Ohio related stub is the selected article. If you have a new stub created feel free to nominate it at the NewsDesk.

Jump-Starting the Ohio Highways WikiProject[edit]

IlGreven: Noting you haven't edited too many Ohio Highway pages lately, I did want to see if you would be interested. I am working to start ramping up the Ohio Highways WikiProject on a much larger scale. There is a lot of work to do on the project, given a number of stubs and a number of routes that do not even have any pages, but we definitely have the people out there to make it happen. I wanted to talk to you about some of the possibilities for this; please let me know if you would be interested, and if so we will coordinate from there. Thanks!
