The AFOI was founded by Greg Mackie. Phillip Adams was not directly involved at this early stage: source both Greg Mackie and Phillip Adams, pers. comm. Iansnib (talk) 03:32, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Adelaide Festival of Ideas[edit]

Your declaration in your first edit summary "I am on the Board of AFOI Inc and have had a major role in running the AFOI since 2009" indicates that you have a potential conflict of interest regarding this article, and thus need to exercise great care when editing. One of Wikipedia's primary policies is verifiability, which includes the use of reliable sources and no original research. The latter rules out unpublished personal communications.

The references I have added show that while Greg Mackie may have had the original concept, others also played key roles in bringing the event into existence. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 04:05, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I get the issues re potential conflicts of interest and the use of personal communications, but there is a real problem when the public documents are not supported by people who were there at the time. Maybe it's better just to leave out any reference to founders until I can track down a reliable source in public domain? Iansnib (talk) 04:14, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
