Tropical Storm Beryl

Welcome to Wikipedia. This message is in regard to your edits to Tropical Storm Beryl (2006). You keep on adding an unnecessary watches and warnings section, but the watches and warnings are already listed in list format. Please use the format for all other tropical cyclone articles. In addition, how come you keep adding a section in the talk page called "O-Town's AT"? You can discuss the storm if you want, but there's no need to create three sections on the talk page with your thougts on it. In the future, you can just create one discussion entitled "Opinions on the storm's future" or something like that. Oh sorry, well, then... since you check my site regularly why don't you fill me in on how to conduct myself here instead of letting me look like an idiot. I also don't understand??? I know hurricanes is your thing and all but i love em' too. Are you like the only person allowed to edit the hurricane stuff. Cause if you aren't then... what can i do other than submit useless blogs on these talk pages. Not all the info i put on there is useless. --AT

   Well, Wikipedia isn't really a blog. You can post your opinions on talk pages, but be sure to have something to back it up with. Anyone can edit Wikipedia, but you should work off what is already on the articles. You can edit pages to your heart's delight, but if you add useless or incorrect things, then they will probably be deleted. However, current pages are always difficult to work with. There are hundreds of tropical cyclone articles that could use work on them. Seeing as you are a hurricane fan, do you prefer newer seasons or older ones? Either way, there are a lot of articles that need help. If you want, you should explore a bit, and see what's out there. Wikipedia has Atlantic season articles from 1492 to present, Eastern Pacific seasons from 1800 to present, Western Pacific seasons from 1948 to present, North Indian seasons from 1700 to present, and seasons for Southern Hemisphere cyclones from 1980 to present. In addition, there are over 300 storm articles worldwide. There are plenty of things you can do. If you want, you can be a researcher and help existing older articles. One thing a lot of users do is pick a hurricane article and add as much as possible to it. That's what I normally do. Are there any past hurricanes that you are interested in? The main thing to remember is that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Thus, everything you add has to be backed up by a source. If you have any more questions, you know where to ask.        I wouldn't go as far to say as I accept you, but don't worry, you're well on your way. I'll admit, when I saw your first few edits I was a little worried, though now I understand you are a legitimate hurricane enthusiast. Currently, Charley and Andrew are decent articles, but they still need some work until they get to Featured Article status. Oddly enough, my name is also Andrew ;) So, in response to your earlier question, you could work on Andrew or Charley, and build off what is already there. Also, as a little quibble, could you possibly sign your name on talk pages? All you have to do is type four tildes (HurricaneFreak 15:13, 29 July 2006 (UTC)). If you want to talk about tropical cyclones in general, you should consider joining the Tropical Cyclone Wikiproject. I...really have no clue what you just said. Yes, I edited the TS Alex section of the 1998 AHS, what about it? Also, some hints when you write content: Use the American way of styling dates if dates in that article are already formatted that way (July 7 instead of 7 July), and when talking about pressure, use "mbar" instead of "mb", because "mb" is ambiguous. :) -- RattleMan 20:45, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
