Hi HunajaOtso. Could you possibly direct me to the "five-year old consensus" established via the Talk Page? Or, better still, could post your explanation over there in the sub-section I started there. I'm not quite sure what you meant in your edit summary by "most likely he was not aware of such language as Ukrainian". Many thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:41, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You want to know something? The IP which added the Ukrainian spelling to the article was just banned for three months because of nationalist gibberish. See: [1] So I kindly ask you not to spread false information and continuing the work of banned IP:s. HunajaOtso (talk) 22:43, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think it might be useful if any decision about whether or not to add a spelling in Ukrainian was made clearer on the Talk Page? It seems my interpretation of what is currently recorded does not align with yours. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:59, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm also not sure way we need any more sources to support how his name was spelled in Russian. I think the original source supports that well enough. Thanks Martinevans123 (talk) 23:02, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I did my job; protecting Wikipedia from nationalist-biased vandalism. You can continue the work of now-banned IP if you want but please, start from the talk page. I don't have more time for this. I value the most admin's decision. HunajaOtso (talk) 23:05, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have no intention of "continuing the work of now-banned IP", thanks. I opened a new thread at the article Talk page to try and get some clarity of what has, and what has not, been agreed. Thanks for adding a comment over there. Martinevans123 (talk) 23:07, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I respect your ambition to perfect this Encyclopedia but sometimes it is better just to let it go and stick to the consensus. These kind debates about spelling names in different languages pop up almost daily and it is almost impossible to prevent them. The talk page section was several years old and it still seems nothing has changed since then. But that's Wikipedia. HunajaOtso (talk) 23:18, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
