Standard conventions[edit]

Hello. Could you PLEASE learn Wikipedia's conventions? See Wikipedia:Manual of Style and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (mathematics). Also see my recent edits to your various articles. When I got tired I went back and just put "cleanup" tags on them instead of doing more cleanups myself. In particular:

  • Start with a complete sentence, not a dictionary-style definition, and follow the bolding convention.
  • Don't start a math article by saying "Let X be...". At the very least, tell the non-mathematician readers at the outset that mathematics is what the article is about.
  • Don't use all those needless break characters.
  • Indent displayed TeX with an invisible initial colon.
  • Use \left and \right for sizes of parentheses and other delimeters.
  • Use \lange and \rangle properly, not "<" and ">".

De Oliveira wavelet[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article De Oliveira wavelet, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. A tag has been placed on Nereide Stela Santos Magalhães, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Oli Filth(talk) 11:52, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About your contributions[edit]

Hey there. I just want to point out (in a more personal, non-template way) that the biggest issue with your contributions is that, for the most part, they are about you yourself or things you have been involved in. Please read the policy page on conflicts of interest to get a better understanding. It's very hard to write an unbiased article about yourself or your work, and when people see such an article, they're going to be much more strict about upholding the notability and verifiability guidelines. I hope you don't get discouraged and continue to contribute, but in the future it may be a good idea to not do so about yourself...wait for someone else to include you, or at least until you can throw up an ironclad article. --UsaSatsui 07:16, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bulk addition of articles[edit]

Hello. I noticed that you created several articles at once, each looking like a track list off a CD cover or something similar. I assume those serve as a starting point for something. Please add sources and stub tags as you go along, or you risk getting your work speedily deleted per WP:CSD#A1. -- /home/dalric/talk 06:27, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, those lists are lifted from the italian wikipedia, compare en and it for instance. I fail to see the point of doing so, out of context the lists seem to fail WP:V and WP:N. Please reply on my talk page if you intend to work on these articles, so I can tag them accordingly, or someone else will come along and probably delete them. -- /home/dalric/talk 07:10, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of multiple articles[edit]

A tag has been placed on Quando verrà Natale, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- /home/dalric/talk 09:58, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also speedied Goodbye Novecento, Prendilo tu questo frutto amaro, Ullalà, In questo mondo di ladri, Sotto il segno dei pesci, Lilly (albm), Le cose della vita, Buona domenica, L'orso bruno, Theorius Campus, Antonello nel Paese delle Meraviglie, and cleaned the mess off your talk page just now. Sorry, I didn't realize the clutterage untily my adopter made me aware of it. Most of the articles have been preserved with a WP:ALBUM tag. -- /home/dalric/talk 23:42, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Album articles[edit]

Hello HMO. I see you've created several album articles for Antonello Venditti. Thank you for taking the time to add to Wikipedia. I hope, however, that you continue to work on these articles. In their current state, they could be deleted. Someone has already tried to delete them, and I think it is only a matter of time before someone tries again. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums for information on how to improve the articles, and what sort of information to add. Particularly, the infobox would provide a lot of information. It should be a simple matter to improve the articles to Start class, for anyone who owns the albums. If you need any assistance, feel free to ask me. -Freekee (talk) 07:21, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Meyer wavelet[edit]

Hello Hmo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Meyer wavelet for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, [[:{{{article}}}]].

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, ♥ Tentinator ♥ 18:56, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 31[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Fbsp wavelet, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spline (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Hmo, Could you be more explicit about the last two sentences you introduced in the section Analog modulations? I suppose two diagrams were expected to explain AM and FM modulation, right? Teuxe (talk) 19:51, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
