Happy editing! SounderBruce 01:15, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

hey! I check out your profile a lot! Thanks for welcoming me here. I've already looked through the tutorial, and I realize I have a good grasp on the basics because of outside editing experience on wikitubia. I may ask you more questions on more advanced editing techniques, especially on how to customize my about page, but I'm kind of busy right now due to the 4th of July festivities. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 03:05, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
Feel free to ping me (using {{ping|SounderBruce}}) with questions. From your edits so far, I just recommend keeping a few things in mind: there does not need to be a space between punctuation and citations; citations should not be bare URLs, and the best way to create them is to use a citation template such as {{cite web}}. There are several tools (including in the editing toolbar) that can help you make citation templates. SounderBruce 03:34, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

"Photos needed"

Please do not remove the tracking template or category if the article subject only has one photograph. For example, Washington State Route 523 only has the single photo that doesn't do a great job of showing the highway itself. Having these templates helps users willing to travel to photograph the subject see where their time is needed the most. SounderBruce 23:08, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

Okay. I will take that into consideration the next time I add pictures to articles and I will travel back to those sites to take better pictures if possible. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 03:50, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

CS1 error on 2023 heat waves

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page 2023 heat waves, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 16:02, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

This is an error; the bot should not have been triggered.

A kitten for you!

Thanks for signing my guestbook!

Quick fix for the user box problem

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:UBXNS&redirect=yes to create a user subpage https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:USERSUBPAGE&redirect=no so type this replace the pramiters except userboxes

into the search bar then create

User:username/userboxes/Userboxname then paste code in

once you have that created use of course replace the thingys (im tired ok) {{User:username/userboxes/Userboxname}} then paste this into wherever you want it •Cyberwolf• 01:49, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

Or i could do this for u •Cyberwolf• 01:53, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

wp:burden

Hello. Per wp:burden, please do not restore text that is uncited without RS cites. I am therefore restoring it, in accord w WP rules. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:D09A:8A70:3959:5781 (talk) 04:10, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I think you're right and I'm wrong and I went too far. After the fact, I realized it was a mistake. Thank you for getting uncited stuff out of articles. The reason why I reverted is because Wikipedia was calling it page blanking, or when someone deletes stuff out of articles, to the point where the article is nothing, so I went ahead. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 04:12, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
  • Thanks. The amount of uncited material in these articles is really out of hand. I'm actually using a somewhat light touch at the moment, rather than addressing it all. Which in time should probably be done. --2603:7000:2101:AA00:D09A:8A70:3959:5781 (talk) 04:34, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

Objection

I edited the article on Suburgatory because it reads like a commercial. It is not "original research" but a condensing of what has already been written. Please do not revert my edits again. 2600:1004:B187:471C:4466:E96:11B2:B197 (talk) 23:44, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

Okay. I'm going to assume good faith because the edit I saw was apparently not the full edit. I'll leave it up for now and trust that you are improving the page. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 23:47, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

+rollback

Hi HistoryTheorist,

After reviewing your request, I have added your account to the rollback group. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Users should be informed (or warned) after their edits have been reverted. If warnings repeatedly don't help, WP:ANI is the default place to go. In cases of very clear ongoing intentional damage to the encyclopedia, WP:AIV can be used.
  • Reverting someone's edits may confuse or upset them. Whenever other users message you on your talk page, please take the time to respond to their concerns; accountability is important. For most users who message you, the tone and quality of your answer will permanently influence their opinion about Wikipedia in general.
  • Because the plain default rollback link does not provide any explanatory edit summary, it must not be used to revert good faith contributions, even if these contributions are disruptive. Take the time to write a proper summary whenever you're dealing with a lack of neutrality or verifiability; a short explanation like "[[WP:NPOV|not neutral]]" or "[[WP:INTREF|Please provide a citation]]" is helpful.
  • Rollback may never be used to edit war, which you'll notice to be surprisingly tempting in genuine content disputes. Please especially keep the three-revert rule in mind. If you see others edit warring, please file a report at WP:ANEW. The most helpful essay I've ever seen is WP:DISCFAIL; it is especially important for those who review content regularly.
  • If you encounter private information or threats of physical harm during your patrols, please quickly use Special:EmailUser/Oversight or Special:EmailUser/Emergency; ideally bookmark these pages now. See WP:OS and WP:EMERGENCY for details. If you're regularly patrolling recent changes, you will need both contacts sooner or later, and you'll be happy about the bookmarks.

To try rollback for the first time, you may like to make an edit to WP:Sandbox, and another one, and another one, and then revert the row with one click. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about rollback. Thank you for your time and work in cleaning up Wikipedia. Happy editing!

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 10:02, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

Thank you. I'm quite surprised I received rollback rights at all, and I'll try to use it sparingly. I can't promise I'll be perfect as my RW history has shown that I have made mistakes. I'll be sure to test it out in my sandbox though. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 17:29, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

September 2023

Hello, I'm Sundayclose. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks from American Psychological Association. Redlinks are useful and can often be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.

In addition, clicking on the "What links here" link (in the tools listed at the left in desktop view) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Please only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Sundayclose (talk) 16:29, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

Okay, I will ask on the talk page before doing more delinking in the future. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 22:25, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

I have no part in Slovakia, heck, I've never been to the country. I don't completely understand the political dynamics there; I'm only an anti-vandal trying to do my best to clean up pages. If I am inadvertently adding misinformation, trout me here but give me a neutral source for that first. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 04:39, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
