Beach Boys

@Hidlive: Hello! It's been about two years since you've offered me your criticisms of various Beach Boys articles, and I just happened to be reminded that I had found a mirror of the Smile Sessions box set liner notes just a few months after we had our last exchange.

You had mentioned that Bruce Johnston deserves more coverage on Smile (The Beach Boys album), but I'm still not sure exactly what can be said about Johnston's involvement with the album, and there wasn't anything about it that I felt could be extrapolated from the liner notes. (I think you wanted me to add "Bruce played XYZ on ABC" but I don't know why, how, when, and where you would want this information presented. Really, why Bruce in particular? Why not Brian, Dennis, Carl, Al, Mike, Van Dyke, Jim Gordon, Carol Kaye, Al DeLory, or Don Randi?)

You had also pointed out that those liner notes contain many factual errors, but I don't know anything about them, because as far as I can tell, no one has ever posted about these inaccuracies anywhere on the Internet. This leads me to gather that you're privy to information that isn't publicly accessible, or that you have some close connection with the band or other researchers.

Anyways, if you have further suggestions to improve these articles, please don't be afraid to use the talk pages. I'm aware that the Beach Boys-related pages I've worked on get a lot of heat in some places, but I'm just one person, and I can only work with what I got, which amounts to a bunch of old biographies and magazine articles, an unorganized mess of Beach Boys message boards, a few poorly maintained fan websites, and strict guidelines imposed by the Wikipedia administrators.
