List of largest cities by area[edit]

I removed the section about the first city since it did not seem to belong in a list article of largest cities. A history of the growth of city sizes might be appropriate, though. Meters (talk) 03:08, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of largest cities by area has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article relies on one source, it does not define what it means by a city (city proper, metropolitan area), and most of its figures for city area do not agree with the urban or metro area figures given in the infoboxes of the cities that it lists.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
