A tag has been placed on Első Pesti Egyetemi Rádió requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Community radio stations in Hungary, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. While I was the one who processed the deletion, as you see here, the article was proposed to be deleted by TenPoundHammer. --Admrboltz (talk) 16:36, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article The War of the Worlds (radio 2010) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Radio broadcast with no assertion of notability.

It says right on the map who made it. You didn't make it and it's not a map of The Martian (novel) rather the NASA Opportunity and Pathfinder landing sites. -- GreenC 02:33, 26 September 2015 (UTC) Dear Green Cardamon, have you ever been in a scientific commission? Do you think commissions do things or people in commissions? How did you verify who actually made it and on what base do you think that I lied on the copyright notice without even ASKING. If you go to the commission website, you may read my name as chair of the commisiion, for example. And if you have ever read the novel, you will know what this map is about. Did you ever hold the book in your hands? Do you know the plot? Have you seen any landing site maps from NASA? So on what base did you delete it apart from ignorance?[reply]

All you've done is upload this image linked from this webpage. You didn't reveal that information on Commons on where you got the image from. You will also need to verify that you are the owner of the image and agree to release it into the public domain. There is a formal process for that on Commons where email addresses can be verified by other Wikipedia members, presumably through the planetarymap gmail address. -- GreenC 03:04, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Permission to use this image has not been legally granted. In order to use the image on Wikipedia please follow these instructions for sending an email to the OTRS team. Send it from an email address at your organization that is verifiable on your website, such as the planetarymap gmail address. Be sure to link the image both on your website and on Wikimedia Commons so the OTRS team knows what you're referring to. After you have sent this email post a confirmation here. If I do not hear back in a day or two I will start an article for deletion discussion on Commons. -- GreenC 03:21, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Second warning, Hargitai: Someone else (not me) has tagged the image as "missing permissions". They will delete it if you don't take action. Saying this for your benefit, this is the procedure you have to follow. They are giving 15 days according to the notice on the image. -- GreenC 13:15, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hey looks like your Martian map was deleted from Commons. I had nothing to do with it. It's because you didn't follow procedure for proving who you are. You can't just say "I am own this so there". You have to prove it, via email, using a simple form. It's a legal requirement. Too bad as it was a decent image and would have contributed to the article. I may link to it as an external link. -- GreenC 13:27, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Kira B. Shingareva requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://icaci.org/kira-b-shingareva-1938-2013/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
