Little context in Sergio Delfino

"Awww" response

Eh, I'm being criticized by some users for being a chatterbox on Wikipedia. But I am on YouTube! Did you check my user page? A link to my YouTube page is there. I was wondering how to make movies, but I just found out yesterday! Anyway, I'm only making sparodic appearences here on Wikipedia so technically I'm still here, but I'm not as active as I was before. So, check out my YouTube page sometime! And don't worry about my retirement, I'll probably take off the "retired" thing pretty soon anyway!

Peace Out! :-) THE $R$ 23:16, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Exampl

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Kesac (talk) 03:36, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello! I was just looking at the article Bewilderness -- thanks for being bold and creating an article!

I am attempting to add categories and stub categories to this article. Is this the show mentioned in the Popular Culture section of the David Prowse article? If so, that article indicates that it is a Bill Bailey show rather than a talk show by David Prowse. -- KathrynLybarger (talk) 14:22, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Bewilderness

You appear to have your facts wrong: Bewilderness was a live tour by Bill Bailey, in which he referenced David Prowse; it was not a talk show by Prowse himself. I have therefore tagged the page for speedy deletion. If you believe this is unjustified, place {{hangon}} below the template, and give your reasons for doing so on the article's talk page.

Please do not archive your user talk messages so quickly; they should ideally remain on your talk page for at least a couple of weeks, so that other editors may refer or add to them. Many thanks. haz (talk) 16:48, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Sean Gray

A tag has been placed on Sean Gray requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:21, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Personal Biography

Biographies of youself are not allowed for a few reasons: first reason is WP:NOTABILITY; basically if you are not well known and verifiably so then you shouldn't be included in the main enclclopedia area. Secondly, editing your own article, even if are very well known, violates WP:COI (conflict of interest). If you wish to include biographical information on your User Page then this is perfectly reasonable. Maybe you would like to write about yourself there? It helps other users get to know you, and what you are editing. Regards! Fribbler (talk) 02:28, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
