Historical birth places
Indonesia did not exist in 1928. Saying he was born there is not correct. Even saying it in brackets is not useful. We don't say Julius Caesar was born in modern-day Italy, do we? GiantSnowman 08:03, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: Julius Caesar was born in Rome. It's such a well-known place, and I agree we don't add much by explaining its in modern-day Italy. However, Gembong is such a generic village name (see list of places named "Gembong" in id.wikipedia.org, that some disambiguation is needed, and I feel that saying it's the Gembong that's in the modern day Sragen regency is a good disambiguator. If you're looking for precedent, I've found John Adams (a GA), Immanuel Kant or Alfred the Great. HaEr48 (talk) 09:27, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
