A tag has been placed on Ulfur karlsson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Reverting[edit]

Hello. Please do not continue to revert yourself repeatedly, as you are doing on Knattspyrnufélagið Fram. This may be considered disruptive editing. Thank you. Evil saltine (talk) 07:33, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop repeatedly undoing your own edits. If it continues you may be blocked for disruptive editing. Evil saltine (talk) 07:38, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm sorry, but I've had to revert all of your changes to Knattspyrnufélagið Fram, because they really were not constructive - I've commented on the article's Talk page. If you think it needs completely rewriting, I'd suggest you make a new version of the article in your own user space (eg Gusulfurka/Knattspyrnufélagið Fram) and start work on it there - and get a native English speaker to review it for you before you consider copying it to the article itself. And you should take a look at other football club articles to see how they are formatted, and also have a read of WP:MOS. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:18, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I notice you have recently changed the article Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur. When you change articles, will you please be very careful not to remove large amounts of material and leave the formatting badly broken, as you did here. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:29, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A note on linking[edit]

Concerning adding links to articles, please have a read of WP:OVERLINK and try to follow its guidelines - it is important not to over-link articles. In particular, please try to avoid repeatedly linking the same term, and do not link general English words, phrases, dates etc, that English speakers will already understand. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:39, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't keep linking FRAM - even if it linked to the correct place (which it doesn't - it links to a disambiguation page), it does not make sense to link a Wikipedia article back to itself. Also, please try to get the capitalization right - the English language does not capitalize the whole of a name, just the first letter, so it should be "Fram", not "FRAM" (I've corrected it for you a number of times already, but you appear not to have noticed). Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:05, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Eiríkur Jónsson. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Janus Guðlaugsson has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. A tag has been placed on Rudi Daniel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

The article Guðlaugur Victor Pálsson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced BLP but references are easily found. However, prod tagging because no evidence of senior appearences either for Iceland or for Liverpool's first team hence clearly fails WP:ATHLETE

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Also Björn Daníel Sverrisson. A link to the source where you got the material for these pages would be great - it is really important to have sources in wikipedia articles so that the information can be verified and readers can find out more. Advice and Warning[edit]

As the reviewing administrator for these deletions, I need to offer you some advice. We are very glad to have articles about footballers from all countries,  but  they MUST have references.

Sometimes I have been able to check   articles like these  before deletion and add at least one necessary reference, but I cannot promise always to have the time to do so--and football is not one of the subjects in which I have the most personal interest.  It is not my responsibility to do this, nor the responsibility of anyone here but yourself. If you can write the article in the first place , you surely  have the references in front of you when you are doing so, in order to get the names right and add the key statistics. That's when to do it! It is unfair to expect others to fill in what you can do so easily.  I expect that you will start doing this, otherwise you may find that you are wasting your efforts, because the articles will get deleted. I have other responsibilities, and it is taking too much of my available time here to do your work for you, when there are so many other things that need fixing.

In particular, I am not going to work further on the currently nominated articles. If you want them kept, work on  them yourself. I strongly advise you simply go back and add the sources.   DGG ( talk ) 00:27, 13 November 2010 (UTC) [reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for September 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Haukar Handball, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Icelandic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Pape Mamadou Faye has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hello, I'm Yunshui. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Úlfur Karlsson without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yunshui  13:49, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

April 2013[edit]

Hello. I reverted a series of 5 edits you had made to Iceland. The markup formatting of the content that you added was incorrect, and when I checked the link that you added (http://www.visir.is/taeplega-26.000-innflytjendur-a-islandi/article/201313031898425.926), I got an unresolved link error saying "The article requested cannot be found! ..." I think you may need to study wikimarkup and be more careful to make sure the links you add are valid links (e.g. instead of being some temporary link that expires quickly). —BarrelProof (talk) 01:21, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here is an fixed link: Tæplega 26.000 innflytjendur á íslandi. And here is another reference in english, to prove Gufsulurka´s point even further: Immigrants and persons with foreign background 1996-2013.--Snaevar (talk) 09:59, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Kassim Doumbia. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Albert Watson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
