Grazia11 -- Seeing as how you speak both German and English, I was wondering if you might be able to correct some of the errors of fact contained on the German entry of Hawkins. For example, I do not believe his attending Columbia University has ever been verified. However, his BS, MD and PhD sources are known. What's the story?[edit]

You haven't made any comment about the Wal-Mart quote. Frankly, I'm dismayed by it. What's the story? How did we get this misquote and it's subsequent misinterpretation? Why did you write a special note endorsing it and requesting special treatment for it? I'd like to make sure that you understand the aims of this project. Wikipedia's "Five pillars" When each of us edits here we are working for the project, not oursleves or our other affiliations. We all need to check our "hats" at the door and wear instead only the hats of Wikipedia editors. Outside of this effort we all have our personal opinions and beliefs. Yet all editors need to write verifiable, neutral material. If there's anything about that which you don't understand then feel free to ask me or another experienced contributor. Please let me know that you understand why the Wal-Mart quote matter is not helpful for Wikipedia. -Will Beback 09:35, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy to help fix accidental deletions of comments, but I'm concerned by intentional deletions. Why did you delete this comment? [1] Also, while I'm here, please note that en.Wikipedia has slightly different "style" standards than those of other languages, especialy regarding quotations marks. Please follow WP:MOS. 1) easy WBB, going back to your comment on wiki:talkpage and calibrations. you said wiki is not based on calibrations. this is comment is of no use for discussion, a personal opinion, and part of off-comments, which are not coinciding with "no general" discussion on the subject's article.

2) i've read the part on quotations - in the main article i may well abide to this. in the talk page i'd rather go by german usus in italics. it's easier to differentiate.

Please don't selectively edit the comments of others. It is very poor form. See Help:Talk page#Basic rules for all talk pages. i accept the basic rules and they make sense. and they are not the only policy.

you are not aware of the email cons with an outside party who objected strongly against selective presentation (as an ammunition for a certain agenda only, subverting other information deemed important) of his private email comments on the talk page. i had claimed basically the same of AaL earlier, which he had refused right out to do. in the end though he'd corrected it in sync with the 3rd party.

AaL has stated several times that he is willing to stick to the rules, which he is still learning (same as me). he diverted again - in writing this unneccessary 'legitimate joke' comment right after promising good manners. that's life. unfortunately he has not shown much respect and diligence in certain matters and with certain persons. that's life also. and wiki talk page will take care to preserve all the unimportant and misleading comments. good to know. --Grazia11 22:52, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

regarding “...“:
meanwhile i have revised all quotations in article's with the applied US wiki standard. while doing so i could see several quotes in italics which have been inserted before i entered the scene. I took their example as expression of wiki standard. --Grazia11 04:22, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization[edit]

Hiya, to pick a category, I recommend looking at other articles about similar subjects. If you scroll to the bottom of the article, you'll see that it's in a number of categories. If you click on "edit" for that page, and look at the bottom, you can see the exact syntax, which will look like [[Category:<name>]]. I recommend copy/pasting appropriate categories into your uncategorized page. I hope that helps! If it's still confusing, let me know. :) Oh, and AWB is a semi-automated tool that I use to quickly scan thousands of pages, and flag the ones that need categories.
