Hello, Aryan hindustan. I had a look at the article for you. It now has independent sources (not just the museum's own website), and more complete information about the museum. Unfortunately, most of the images you had included are not appropriate for the article, so I did not restore the Gallery section. (Image galleries are generally deprecated on Wikipedia anyway, even though you may still see articles that have them.) Please do not put the other images back into the article, as they will only be removed by other editors, and may cause an edit war. If you could go back to the museum and take photos of the exhibits without museum visitors in the photo, though, those photos would be very welcome! —GrammarFascist (talk) 15:45, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

OREDA

Hello GrammarFascist, regarding the OREDA page, I am wondering if we can jsut simply delete the picture about the troll B as I dont think it is relevant. One more question, if I want to have a Chinese page about the OREDA, what is the procedure? By the way I speak chinese. So I can translate by myself. Hi NT DK. We could of course just delete the image; I decided to add an image at that point in the article to break it up a little, as the formatting and length of the History section make it somewhat monotonous. I think it would be better to replace the Troll B image with a different offshore platform photo, though I don't think it's a problem for the Troll B photo to stay there for now. Here are photos of oil platforms in the North Sea that are ready to be used on Wikipedia — I think it might be easier for you to tell which ones are operated by OREDA members than it would be for me.
As far as creating a page on the Chinese Wikipedia (I'm presuming the Chinese you speak is Mandarin, rather than Cantonese or another of the regional languages), first let me say that I do not know what the rules are at zh.wikipedia.org — you could try browsing WikiProject China for users who are currently active on (English) Wikipedia, and ask on someone's talk page whether they're familiar with the article creation rules at the Chinese Wikipedia. If the rules there are the same as the rules here, any logged-in user whose account has existed for at least four days can create an article without having to submit a draft and have it approved. Typically an easy way to get to the create-an-article page is to search Wikipedia for the name you want the article to have; then, when the "Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name" page comes up, click the link that says "Start the [article name] article, using the Article Wizard if you wish, or add a request for it." Of course the text would be different on the Chinese Wikipedia, but the meaning should be equivalent. That is, unless things are completely different there; which, again, I simply don't know. —GrammarFascist (talk) 09:13, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

Hello NT DK, I hadn't seen that notice yet, so thanks for the heads-up. I have left a message with the editor who placed the notice, asking for more information, as a cursory look at the other document shows no sign of it being related to the OREDA article here at Wikipedia. It's not even about the same kind of fossil-fuel risk management (U.S. greenhouse gases vs. European drilling) so I'm not too worried. Okay, NT DK, I went and took a closer look at the warning template that was placed on the OREDA article, after half a day passed without the user who put it there getting back to me. It looks like this is a case of a false positive generated by some automatic-checking tool, though I can't imagine which one, since the two tools linked to by the template both show no actual copyright violation. One of them just listed results that were all for generic phrases like "the following table", "is also responsible for" and "at the same time", in pairs of sentences that were otherwise unrelated. The other tool gave a mere 2% chance of copyright violation. So don't worry about it — the warning template will be taken off the article very soon. I'm giving the user who placed the template 24 hours to respond with any valid basis for keeping it there as a courtesy. Thanks again for letting me know about the situation, and feel free to contact me with any future edits you think should be made to the OREDA article. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 02:58, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, samtar. I was not the creator of the draft, just the user who addressed issues with it so it could pass AfC review. When I work on drafts that have previously failed AfC review, I either wait for the creator (or other contributor/s) to resubmit them, or resubmit them myself, because I don't meet the requirements to be an AfC reviewer yet and therefore don't feel I should move the drafts to mainspace myself.

Hi GrammarFascist: Thanks so much for the friendly welcome. It's very helpful. I actually just added a message to a page that you had noticed also, and that is for the ZAP group. I live in CA wine country and go to probably too many wine events so am familiar with many of the organizations. From what I can tell, ZAP seems to have accomplished a lot of things above and beyond just wine events which would make them a good candidate for an article. I have time these days and would like to spend some of it writing so thought putting something together here would be a good project. Hello again, PH Solution. Wikipedia welcomes your contributions! I have to warn you that you may find the ZAP article a disappointing article to start with, though. Wikipedia's notability standard can be difficult to meet; it requires not just multiple articles that mention the subject, but that are entirely or substantially about the subject. Thus, for example, an article about legislation that mentions ZAP's advocacy would not contribute toward the notability requirement, but an article about ZAP that mentions their legislation advocacy would count. I also saw many articles, though I didn't read all of them; but I did not see any that I thought would be sufficient to establish ZAP's notability to be the subject of its own article on Wikipedia.
As I said, however, I do believe there are more than sufficient sources to establish the notability of Zinfandel Experience, and as the organizing body, ZAP could have a section within that article mentioning things like their legislation advocacy. Nevertheless, the article as it currently exists may yet be deleted rather than moved into the drafts area of the site to be converted into a Zinfandel Experience article. We just have to wait and see what the consensus that develops is. In the meantime there are many other articles you could work on! Sometimes I just click on the Random article link (in the left-hand sidebar of every page) until I see an article I think I can improve. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 23:40, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
You make lots of good points. I might indeed try some random articles first. One aspect puzzles me that perhaps you can help. Before I did any research on the ZAP group, I looked at many other wine organizations to see how they fared. Most did not have entries, but some did. One was the Wine Institute, which had very few references (although I know of it and they do some really good work), and the other was the Rhone Rangers, which actually cited ZAP as the model for their organization and had very few links about them directly. Let me quickly add that I don't want to flag these groups or bring unwanted attention, but it seemed that if they could be included, then the ZAP should definitely be. Maybe I should create a personal sandbox and post what I've researched and see what interested people think? BTW, I appreciate all your help and won't bug you for advice. Let me get talk-page indenting out of the way first. It is customary for the first comment in a topic to be unindented. The next person to reply begins each paragraph of their response with a colon, as I did above, and you did too. However, each person responding is supposed to use one more colon than the person above them did. I have corrected your indenting, and as you'll see when you edit the page again, I used ::: in this response. Your next reply should have four. This is also the convention when editing the Teahouse's questions page directly. Indenting should generally not, however, be used on articles.
While Wikipedia has a number of policies, and even more guidelines (policies are expected to be followed, guidelines are optional), with nearly five million articles, it's inevitable that some articles will exist which are not up to standards. This does not mean, however, that just because some articles that shouldn't be here have "flown under the radar," therefore other articles that shouldn't be here should get to break the rules too. (In many cases the articles with problems can be improved upon until they do meet Wikipedia's standards, rather than simply deleted. But some are unsalvageable.)
You can absolutely put the sources you've found together in your user sandbox or another sub-page of your user page. That way they will be easily accessible no matter what the outcome of the deletion discussion is. And don't worry about bugging me, PH Solution; if I'm busy, that just means it will take longer for me to respond, not that I won't. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 00:33, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! Now I know how to indent. A quick procedure question- I notice that the article on ZAP that we both commented on has been relisted. I read about what that means, which I understand is to essentially initiate a bit of straw poll. Is it appropriate for me (and I guess you, too) to add a comment under the relist indication with a Keep (or something else), or will my comment further up be considered in the poll? And should I be specific with some of the references as examples? As I'm delving further into this topic I keep finding interesting articles. PH Solution (talk) 18:05, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
I have not participated in many deletion discussions yet, PH Solution, but I believe the comments above the relisting are also counted without needing to be repeated. However, if you have something to add, such as an additional source or argument, you should feel free to add your additional comment by beginning with *'''Comment.''' at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zinfandel Advocates and Producers.

You were fine rewriting the article so fundamentally, per the Wikipedia policy that says to "Be bold." I will probably swing by the article to tidy up some formatting and anything else I spot (us old copy editors have to have each other's backs) tomorrow or the day after, but as to content there truly is no question that notability has been established.   • Notability being why does this person matter and why does this page about her need to be on Wikipedia. Notability isn't about providing proof that the person exists or their work exists (even if those who show this fact are independent sources.) It is about proving the fact they are noteworthy. For example I consider myself an artist and I could easily pay £150 to get some artwork tossed into my local art gallery. This information could then be featured on some sites and bam I suddenly become eligible for a Wikipedia article - this is something I do not agree with.  ' Olowe2011 Talk 05:05, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Hello, DashaG11, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Images are not an area of Wikipedia I consider myself well-versed in, and I was completely unfamiliar with the screenshot policy, so I needed to do some research.
I would like you to read Wikipedia:Software screenshots and make sure that the screenshot you made complies with Wikipedia guidelines for screenshot use in articles. I don't know why the previous image was deleted, but the fact that it was makes me want to be extra careful with replacing it. I do agree that ideally Commander One would have a screenshot of the program illustrating the article.
Also, even if the screenshot can be used on Wikipedia, I cannot upload it for you. The copyright for almost any image belongs to the creator of the image, and under ordinary circumstances only that person is authorized to upload their image to Wikipedia or to Wikimedia Commons. (Logos are displayed on Wikipedia under the Fair Use exception, which is why I could upload that for you.)
