Micheal and not Michael

Do you really think that Texas Tech or Bahamas Fed know better than IAAF or one of the best Finnish ATFS member here ([1]), the real name of Micheal Mathieu? Have you seen the WP fr: entry ? Definitively, his first name is

Micheal

, and errors are often made by people that does not know. But you're right, even in the very good Athletics 2007 (ed. by Peter Matthews), there is the mistake "45"90 Michael Mathieu" — but as I know very well Peter Matthews, I also know that he is not very good or accurate with "strange" names. Thanks for not changing again this point.-Enzino 16:06, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

But the IAAF doesn't call him Micheal - here's his bio at iaaf.org. I know it's not a very scientific method, but if you Google "Micheal Mathieu" you get 15 hits. If you search for "Michael Mathieu" + Bahamas you get around 400, including the IAAF, Texas Tech, Bahamas Fed and several Bahamian news sources. WP itself is not a definitive source. If you know for sure that Micheal is correct, then fair enough, but I'm inclined to be sceptical at this point. Gr1st 17:16, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
I think I'm more sceptical than you could ever been… The official sheet of results (by IAAF) tells Micheal and the best statisticians book too. I never believe in Google or common sources. Thanks.-Enzino 17:33, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
But you're right: the Official results have been changed since the entry list (I got the first eds) to "Michael". Another mistake of the IAAF Statisticians. Possible, I do not know.-Enzino 17:39, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

IAAF World Champs

I just add something more: I do appreciate your great work on athletics' matters. If you give a look to WP fr:, you will see that the results and names are very complete (and, I hope, accurate).-Enzino 16:09, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Antena3.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:27, 7 September 2007 (UTC). Orphaned non-free media (Image:Atlas Copco.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Atlas Copco.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PUMA

Please stop undoing all my good work I have spent a lot of time on.

The correct title is PUMA, not Puma - look at the official website!

This style was chosen becuase adidas is all lowercase.

If you read the history of these 2 companies you will know that the 2 Dassler brothers split many years ago and these 2 companies are the result.

Please can you refrain from any further actions.

Danker

Also, please can you move the whole article to PUMA as I do not know how to do this except for normal cut and paste. PUMA AG is also correct, but there is no need for the AG as most other companys do not have it on their articles - have a look and see. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.242.244.42 (talk) 12:57, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

The whole article should not be moved to PUMA - take a look at the messages I left on the talk page of one of your many IP addresses here. I hope it will explain why what you are doing is against Wikipedia guidelines. Thanks. Gr1st 13:01, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

PUMA 2

Also, your simple 'undos' have not only changed back to 'Puma' which is wrong according to the company, but the undos have deleted other edits made at the same time like tidying and changing Adidas to adidas (correct - all lowercase - ask the company) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.242.244.42 (talk) 13:01, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Non free images on the Seven Network News presenters

Good day there, You claim this: Non-free images are NOT permitted to illustrate articles on living people; per WP:FU. So why are there so many of them around on other articles? Surely you would be out there to delete them all? Or are these people just the odd one out. There are tons of those type of images on people's pages, and yet they are still there - Ann Sanders being there for over a year, as well as Ian Ross, Peter Mitchell and the rest. They have stayed there for a reason. So as per for what you say, are you going to lodge every member on Wikipedia to delete every single non-free image on these pages? The reason is quite simple, as placed upon us members (done by Timg231 and myself on Samantha Armytage: This image is of a screen capture of the television program Seven 4.30 News, and it is intended for use in the article "Seven News" and "Samantha Armytage" to visually aid and provide critical commentary on the particular news program.

Source information This image was captured by Timg231 from the television program "Seven 4.30 News]].

Fair use rationale for Seven News and Samantha Armytage The image is should qualify as fair use as it is an image of a web resolution, and of a lower quality than broadcasted media releases. The image provides commentary in describing a the program. Furthermore it is believed that this image will not impede the copyright owners ability to profit and is used for commentary only, the copyright holder is the Seven Media Group.

Thank you and tell me once that's been done, otherwise I will continue reverting your edits.Alltrainzfan 10:35, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Hold on there pardner! That logo was recently deleted, and will be deleted again, unless you dot the "I's" and cross the "T's"....

Looks like you need to slow-down, step-back, and do some studying before you just flail about.

Did you even read this:

This tag is meaningless without an accompanying fair use rationale which must be unique to the usage of THIS image in each article in which it is used. You must also give the source and copyright information for all fair-use images uploaded.

Please clean up some of your old messes before you make more of them. WikiDon 23:26, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Are you a moderator/admin? Alltrainzfan 04:39, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

No, hence my line "An admin will decide whether the image should remain or not". As it turned out, the latter was chosen. Gr1st 09:06, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Rebecca Maddern image

Good morning, Read the discussion page. It is not a deleted image. The previous image was of the same bulletin but a different time, uploaded by a different user. Mine's if from Mediaspy of someone who does not contribute to Wikipedia. I have a legitimate reason, and if you continue to revert my edits, I too will request an RFC.
