Legislatures of Albania[edit]

Great job on creating the Legislatures of the past. I created my self some of the recent ones but its too mush for a single editor, so help is welcomed. I can help with some sources, so dont hesitate to ask in my TalkPage ore pinging me here. Bes-ARTTalk 23:10, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah thank you I plan to make more. I might however may need some more sources as I have been using either the parliaments works. If you do need help with the others I can help anytime. Gjondeda (talk) 00:49, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will try my best to add election results for most parties from before elections Gjondeda (talk) 00:54, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thanks for creating this map, but the turnout figure (98.9%) does not match the results table. Similarly, the party percentages in the 1992 map do not match the results table. Cheers, Number 57 10:57, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey it’s not my map I just translated the Hungarian one the original creator was Pasztilla aka Attila Terbócs however I will fix it Gjondeda (talk) 11:39, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
Barnstar for the contributions made to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your hard work Gjondeda. PrincLeka1914 (talk) 09:06, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Good job![edit]

Hey I saw you edit in Democratic Party (of Albania) and it's very good it almost includes what happened since the elections in 2021, the Basha/Berisha fight, the partial local elections and the aftermath. I've being editing DP page trying to improve it and I'll add more information since you might missed few things. For example the court lawsuit (which there's a couple of them including the Këlliçi one). S.G ReDark (talk) 22:52, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I know about the Kellici trial with kokallari however I had forgotten because my power went out I’ll be working on adding more things to extend like you said anyways thank you for the words hope to see your edits soon my friend. Gjondeda (talk) 22:56, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :) (Also add the Alibeaj appeal and the 18 December congress by Basha which is reviewed by the court) S.G ReDark (talk) 15:35, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Need your opinion[edit]

Since the whole situation in DP has messed the party a lot and is going to take a while to be resolved (due to the multiple lawsuits), the logo of the party is messed up. There are two logos used by two different groups. Even in social media and party's website is different, also the logo is different in the parliament. Now... I have a proposal to make a dedicated section to include the two party logos and maybe also older ones for context, what do you think? S.G ReDark (talk) 15:29, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

what i think would work is since the Alibejas faction owns the website and the Facebook they use the regular current logo while Berishas faction has control of the office. What i think would work is that we should use both logos to show which faction is which. it would be best to use this File:Logo e Partisë Demokratike të Shqipërisë.svg and https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Logo_pd.png Gjondeda (talk) 15:51, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that's what I was thinking :D Also thanks for you contribution! S.G ReDark (talk) 23:19, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi i need you opinion again. Should we keep the national elections section? Since it doesn't add up anything,or should we trim it down with a temple so the names are next to each other and don't take extra space. Also there's a chance some of those deputies were later replaced by different one (from DP). S.G ReDark (talk) 18:09, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

i would have kept them since they represented the members of the party who had been. But, its up to you id trim it down with a template probably but i was going to add the 2001 session and if i could find the other sessions as well maybe it would best if we made them into a template but it. How would the template look? Yeah some would have been replaced i know which ones were replaced but im not sure for most. Gjondeda (talk) 18:25, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sure let's keep them if we can trim them so it takes less space and also takes less time to scroll down it would be a good improvement. I'm not very familiar using template but I'll do some research. Add 2001 session and more if you want before we trim it also if this mini project succeeds should we try doing the same for other parties? I mean adding DP from each elections (that's probably another project in the future). Also it's always nice consulting with you :) S.G ReDark (talk) 23:12, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

i figured out how to make those templates i tried on New Democratic Party (Albania) what do you think? Gjondeda (talk) 00:11, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I also edited too Democratic Alliance Party (Albania) Gjondeda (talk) 00:26, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll look at templates on how to do it. Maybe for other parties would be tougher. I know for Democratic Alliance, New Democratic Party, Agranian Party, and the Republican Party but I’m not sure about the LSI and PS I might have to do more research on their deputies. Gjondeda (talk) 23:28, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Same for you it’s great having another person help in extending the politicial side of Albania Gjondeda (talk) 23:29, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I was wondering should we add 2021 national elections first since it's the most recent one (changing the order)? Also how's you progress for the 2001 national elections? S.G ReDark (talk) 21:11, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The 2001 election is very interesting as well as the 1997 and so on they seem not to have any sort of information on the members who were in the party and who held member of parliament status I might have to do some digging but 2021 it might need to be redone since some of them(were not with pd) Gjondeda (talk) 01:42, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's indeed interesting, also keep in mind Albania was 'full presidential Republic" during 91-96 and perhaps few things could be slightly different. As for 2021, yeah it seems few DP are from small parties which are in DP alliance. Oh btw the Republican Party of Albania became full number of the International Democrat Union (IDU), but they haven't updated the website so that's why I haven't added it. S.G ReDark (talk) 03:30, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also as you were saying about the republican party joining the IDU has it been confirmed? i find it quite odd considering they are part of th ECR in europe as well which kinda seems very interesting for them to join. Could the republicans plan to move to a little more moderate form of policies since they were much more conservative and right wing then the democratic party from what i have seen Gjondeda (talk) 18:15, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation[edit]

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Freedom_Party_of_Albania#Ideology_and_Political_Position here you might be interested. S.G ReDark (talk) 18:26, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Source[edit]

@Gjondeda and @S.G ReDark since you both seem interested in Albanian politics, I suggest you write more about the history part of the Albanian parties rather than the current political situation since it is much easier to find reliable sources and there are fewer contradictions or animosity. Plus this part needs more to be improved in Wikipedia and a contribution there would be appreciated. One such source is "Dhjetor '90" written by Aleksander Meksi, who was also the first Albanian prime minister after the fall of communism and also one of the founders of PD. You can find the book published on his personal website. Another good source is the book "Fillimet" by Prenç Zogaj, but I only have a physical copy of it but is cheap to buy. A good idea would be to start writing in one of your personal Sandboxes (such as: User:Gjondeda/sandbox or User:S.G ReDark/sandbox ) before editing the articles, since you may have problems with English and spelling. For these problems, you can ask for the help of active members of WP:Albania by writing in the Talk Page and I am sure that they (me included) will help you. Thanks for your work and keep going. Don't hesitate to ask anything -- Bes-ARTTalk 12:10, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have also written a few for political parties including former PAD and PDR and have been including its deputies during parliament sessions. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Alliance_Party_(Albania) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Democratic_Party_(Albania)

As well as rebuilding this former coalition wiki page from few sentences into this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_for_Victory_Coalition I have been including many parties election results as well to help maintain the parties historical results

Gjondeda (talk) 13:53, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bes-ART thanks for you help, btw I made this discussion about Freedom Party (LSI) you could take a look and even participate if you want https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Freedom_Party_of_Albania#Ideology_and_Political_Position . Also do you have sources for PS and other parties? S.G ReDark (talk) 14:06, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For ps I can’t find anything really but for psd and pds and paa I have found a few things and for PLL Gjondeda (talk) 14:13, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's good, btw I tried finding official websites of LZhK, PLL, PBDNJ and PR. But I haven't found anything. S.G ReDark (talk) 14:22, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

PLL and PBDNJ, and PR sites exist however most of them haven't paid for the domain to be working ill send you archived of the last time the sites were used.
for PLL: https://web.archive.org/web/20211108021240/http://legaliteti.org/
for PR: https://web.archive.org/web/20220126073342/https://prsh.al/
for PBDNJ: https://web.archive.org/web/20211020184904/https://pbdnj.com/
however LZHK they use this site :https://www.platformaorganizative.org/?fbclid=IwAR2vJzhxVp2DqF7_LPhLIEfKOVx2eBtb3WHVbY55CNtfHEyLAQ0BZu82qrM
i think it would be better if we remove the links to the parties sites and add the archived link since it turns out most have stopped using a website. Gjondeda (talk) 15:20, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That amazing! You have a point, those parties only reactivate thier website during elections. Also how did you find LZHK? S.G ReDark (talk) 16:09, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

i did reverse search and found the leader of the party and hi facebook and he had the website in his description on facebook Gjondeda (talk) 16:14, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job S.G ReDark (talk) 17:14, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I’m Thinking about adding the Albanian local elections for 2015 and 2019 into the wiki English articles since they do not have any results shown compared to the German articles. I think it would be a good idea to translate the German articles replace the English ones with the translated ones from the German Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Albanian_local_elections https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kommunalwahlen_in_Albanien_2019

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Albanian_local_elections

https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kommunalwahlen_in_Albanien_2015

Gjondeda (talk) 14:23, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for replying so late, Yeah the German versions seems to be a lot better than the English ones, btw what about the partial local elections that were held this year, should there be a page about it or expand it to the "2019" page? S.G ReDark (talk) 01:11, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe a separate section just like the other partial elections that happened. Gjondeda (talk) 11:29, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah that would be good. S.G ReDark (talk) 23:47, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@S.G ReDark I started the https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Albanian_local_elections page if you have stuff to write on it you can I’m just starting the page early instead of having stubs like past pages Gjondeda (talk) 22:29, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thanks for adding more detailed results to this article, but when you do so, please add the source. If an editor looked up the Nohlen & Stöver source (the only one for the results table), they would not see the parties you added listed, and could assume it was someone adding fake information. Also, the figure you added for the Demochristian Party was wrong, which meant the total, percentages and turnout figures were all wrong. When you add results, it's always worth checking the total is the same figure as in the source, as it helps identify user input errors (or occasionally, errors in the sources themselves). I have corrected the article now. Cheers, Number 57 15:55, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks – I found another source when correcting it. The seat change column is for comparison against the previous election, not the situation before the election. Cheers, Number 57 16:18, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No idea on the party leadership I'm afraid... Number 57 16:52, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
