March 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Centigon (company), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Adakiko (talk) 10:24, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Adakiko, I am Gerry Nicholson the Group CFO of Centigon and I was amending the page as there was a false news article that the Group was being sold in November 2020 which was not the case. Some of our customers were asking questions so I wanted to update our page to remove this statement. Gerry Gerry Nicholson (talk) 11:03, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I looked on the website and did not find any mention of "Ireland", only France. Please wp:cite a wp:reliable source, preferably not a wp:primary source. See help:referencing for beginners. Adakiko (talk) 11:29, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Adakiko, apologies I am new to Wikipedia for editing and am only handling it as an officer of the Group. Our Group company is registered in Ireland with an address and ID number. Can this be the reference to show head quarters is in Ireland. The website is old and needs a revamp which may happen this year. The reference of France is not correct on the website. So question is under updated can the companies accounts or CRO records act as reference to HQ? Thanks. Gerry Nicholson (talk) 12:13, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Gerry Nicholson: Please take the time to review Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines and mandatory policy on disclosure of paid editing. Because you are on the company's payroll, the paid editing policy applies to you. I would advise you to make edit requests on the article talk page (Talk:Centigon (company)) and provide links to reliable sources that verify your proposed changes. All content on Wikipedia must be attributable to reliable, published sources. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 13:58, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Adakiko, I missed the last notes as in my private email. My Centigon email is gnicholson@centigon.com. I am also on LinkedIn as the Group CFO. The issue with the statement on selling the business at the end of the history section is not true. It was a spin in the media which is not the case. Now in March 2022 there is no change but some of our customers in LatAm ask about this statement so I am looking to remove it as can be damaging to the business. What do I need to do to remove this statement. 78.19.132.227 (talk) 12:17, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please state your COI on your user page? Instructions can be found below. Please log in before leaving a message?
Wikipedia reports what other sources state. All there is to go on is what https://www.challenges.fr/entreprise/defense/qui-va-racheter-le-fabricant-de-blindes-centigon_738215 states. I looked for other reports of pending sale of Centigon and found none. As any sale would have been reported and year-old news seems very old for the businexss world, I removed that statement.
