They're allowed to vent about being blocked; if they keep spuriously requesting unblocks another admin will delete the talk page edit. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 22:18, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Unfounded aspersions at ANI

George, considering that you just recently returned from a two-year editing hiatus, bar 4 edits and 1 single log entry in April 2018, do please allow yourself plenty of time to get reacquainted with our P&Gs. And do not be shy to reach out and ask for advice, we're all here to help each other.

It is concerning to see that you just jump in and comment at ANI in Special:Diff/902336228 for several reasons:
(A) You have zero previous edits to WP:RM/TR and demonstrate that you are oblivious to process.
(B) You have assumably little to no experience in WP:RM in general; indeed, your move log shows only 29 page moves since 2005, and none since the 2015 move of your own draft to Jeffrey Lewis (nonproliferation expert), an {{R from unnecessary disambiguation}} when Jeffrey Lewis (academic) was freely available and would suffice, and to where it was later moved by another editor.
(C) You failed to see the declared disruptive intention of the IP editor and presumably in combination with the ignorance arising from (A) mistakenly thought that other editors were adding IP's signature. We were not.
(D) You go on to erroneously cast the WP:ASPERSION that the reversions performed by me, LauritzT, and Baffle gab1978 were quote "disruptive and harrassing [sic]". Wrong again, they were pretty ordinary reversions of WP:TPO violations, read that page.
(E) Most "amusingly" is that your "I hate to invoke BOOMERANG" in context makes a thinly veiled threat of blocking me, LauritzT, and Baffle gab1978. That's an "amusing" mistake because WP:BOOMERANG is a concept we apply to the reporter, here the IP, not the editors being reported.

One of the most important traits of an editor who holds the admin flag is the ability to look for ways to descalate things. Threating to block three editors in good standing who has contributed 50-100 times more than the ~2000 edits you have managed to make the past 7+ years does not. Could you please refrain from this?

I am going to assume good faith that your post was a mistake, and want you to retract your aspersions.

I suggest that in the future you carefully consider if you have the competence required to comment on a matter at ANI or elsewhere.

Again, don't ever hesitate to ask for advice. Sam Sailor 21:39, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
