@Fezmar9: The image is not non-free; it is free. Copyright is not easy to simply explain, but here goes. The EP cover has just pink background, simple font for bands' names, and signature font (not handwritten) for the EP title. It fails to be original and innovative enough to be copyrightable with just common elements inserted, especially in the United States. If the band or label were British, then it would have been copyrightable (see commons:Commons:Deletion requests/Two British logos). Wikipedia shouldn't really be the one to be determining whether something is or is able to be copyrighted. Unless explicitly stated elsewhere, it should just be assumed that it is covered by copyright. Legality aside, I really don't see how adding a pink square to this article really enhances the reader's understanding of the band. Per the link you provided, "The purpose of an image is to increase readers' understanding of the article's subject matter, usually by directly depicting people, things, activities, and concepts described in the article." Actually, the EP page is tagged for deletion, so I added the image in the parent article in case that the EP page is deleted. Having it there helps readers recognize one of the band's releases. Really, how is the image copyrightable in the US? It consists of just simple background and simple fonts. No additions or anything to make the image original enough. No track listing should ever be found in an artist's Wikipedia history section. Regardless of what source you find and independent of the PROD, this is not the place for that kind of information——it exclusively belongs on an album article. Even if I concede to adding the plain pink square and even if it does technically maybe fall under fair use, another editor is just going to remove it down the road because it objectively adds nothing to the article nor does it better the reader's understanding of the subject. It's not like it's an iconic cover of a famous album or a controversial cover that sparked debate or anything, it's just a nondescript cover of a little-known EP that can't even pass Wikipedia's notability guidelines. I do not understand how you can simultaneously make the arguments: (a) this image is plain and unremarkable and (b) it's necessary to a reader's understanding of These Arms Are Snakes. WP:NFCC does not apply to free images, Fez. Neither does WP:NFC nor fair use. Here are copyright law of the United States and free content. We can insert free images anywhere we want to put; of course, some editors wants certain images removed as unnecessary and insignificant. As for the EP, it's non-notable, so (as said before) I tagged it for deletion. I just wanted to include the image for preservation and awareness. --George Ho (talk) 23:26, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Robert, is this image eligible or ineligible for copyright in the US and worldwide? This image is American because the band and the EP are American. Also, does including the image in the article help readers understand the band per WP:IUP#Content? Image sizes

The assertion in this edit summary is not entirely correct. You should note that WP:IMGSIZE starts with the words Images adjacent to text. This refers to images that we see throughout an article, not those in the infobox. If you read further down WP:IMGSIZE you'll see that the section says Example text. The infobox image is the lead image, and it is this part of WP:IMGSIZE that applies to the infobox image. Most infoboxes, including {{Infobox television}} use Module:InfoboxImage, which provides specific parameters for formatting infobox images. The format that you changed to at The Big Bang Theory is the "old way" and only supported by Module:InfoboxImage to provide backward compatibility. --AussieLegend (✉) 07:12, 26 October 2015 (UTC)

Reading WP:IMGSIZE again, do you want to set a force width ("px") without a good reason? We must respect users' own preferences of image size display. Again, the "do not force" is not aimed at infobox images. It is aimed at images in the text. The lead image is a special case and is generally forced because the lead image is supposed to draw the reader's attention. However, I have modified {{Infobox television}} to use the "upright" parameter, which now means that there is normally no need to specify image sizes at all. --AussieLegend (✉) 07:39, 26 October 2015 (UTC)

I hate to ask this, but have we gotten along historically? You and I have historically argued back and forth, AussieLegend. Or maybe it's just me having problems with others. Announcerless Game DYK nom

I amended the existing hooks to use the date of the game instead of "35 years ago today", something I usually try to do so that minimal changes are necessary, certainly not striking them all through and asking for new hooks. Although in fairness I provided some that I had thought of since writing the nomination and finishing the article, which wasn't necessary and created more work; in the future if you see hooks phrased that way that will not be able to make their suggested date just go ahead and make that change, at least if I'm the nominator.

As you can see I'm a little resentful. But you could make it up to me by reviewing Sodder children disappearance and getting it in the queue for Christmas Eve like I recently requested, to apparent resounding silence, on the talk page (this about an article I created around Thanksgiving, and nominated shortly thereafter). George Ho, I am flabbergasted by your insistence on stalling this nomination. The recent push for "Frank Sinatra Day" (see File:Wikipedia Frank Sinatra Day 12 December 2015.jpg), which included two full themed sets and a lead article that ran over 24 hours with two hooks and two images, was solely the result of collaboration on the part of DYK editors. The Caesars Palace article achieved GA status a day before the set went live and was inserted last-minute into the queue. Today I saw Daniel Case's request for a review of his last-minute article for December 20 and acted on it as quickly as I could. I do not understand how this event qualifies as an "anniversary" for ITN. It appears that Daniel has put a lot of time and work into the article. Why can't you just promote it?
