Please stop your disruptive editing. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. livelikemusic my talk page! 01:32, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Listen, I'm not trying to argue about the cover. But the 300px cover uploaded by myself, Tomica and Wiki is the correct cover. It follows the standards put into place by Wikipedia. livelikemusic my talk page! 01:50, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The cover I posted is not edited. I only converted the color profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 from Adobe RGB (1998) so it would display correctly and resized to 300px. The cover isn't square so cropping it would be altering the cover which the label doesn't allow. The cover is from her website: http://www.britneyspears.com/news/186283 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gcampbell92 (talkcontribs) 01:50, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But the cover does not follow the guidelines. A complete 300px cover is preferred. And that's what is provided by myself, Tomica and others. And I can guarantee once the iTunes artwork comes, it'll match the one uploaded. livelikemusic my talk page! 01:54, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't crop the cover, so I do not appreciate the accusation of such. Other sources have the artwork besides Britney's site you know. So don't go accusing people of something that they didn't do. And who doesn't know what the iTunes cover will look like? It'll definitely be 300px anyway. Because yours still fails the guidelines. livelikemusic my talk page! 02:02, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, you cannot assume the cover was edited at all. Because iTunes WILL put up a complete square image. Your explanation and reasoning is just not making sense. We'll just wait for the real, iTunes official artwork. Because it's ridiculous to keep this conversation going, imho. You seem to do this often with other artworks and other editors., which shows signs of owning an article and/or media. And please, follow my talk page rules. It's why I keep removing your responses. livelikemusic my talk page! 02:16, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You click "Edit" on this discussion. And yes, some aren't square, but the majority of them are, especially for major-selling artists. And the cover I did upload was from her record company. It was directly from Sony. livelikemusic my talk page! 02:30, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please provide the source then because the one that Sony has for the standard clean is the same as the one I posted just 1428x1416 instead of 1513x1500?
The one I took was when Sony originally uploaded the image. I got it by experimenting with changing links to find it. It was accidentally stumbled upon. livelikemusic my talk page! 02:37, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay well then we'll just wait to see what RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment sends to iTunes as the digital cover, the cover I posted could be for digipak or something too. It could also change from now and till the release date since it is still very early. I'm sorry for all the trouble I really don't care about credit so if you wanted to take my cover and upload it lol I wouldn't care I just want it to look the best it can.

Other websites feature a complete square image. E! Online (Latin), Rolling Stone, E! Online, and even Britney's Instagram. livelikemusic my talk page! 02:44, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay
Oh and by the way I just check one of those sites and if you check the metadata you will see it's from a 5,266 x 5,222 image which is what the original cover is and it's not square.

Why are you still insisting to use your cover after this conversation? I showed numerous sources that the square image is real. One even came from Britney HERSELF. livelikemusic my talk page! 16:51, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The one from Britney was on instagram which was cropped because instagram prefers square images. Also those other sources altered the cover if you look at the metadata in the image file you will see it was cropped. I updated the file with a letter boxed cover to preserve it.

Your recent editing history at File:Britney Jean.png shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. I have contact both people User:Tomica and User:Livelikemusic about the cover and mine is directly from the label and has the correct color profile for web so it displays the correct colors, also the other covers are cropped, altering the cover.Gcampbell92 (talk) 20:09, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You should discuss the matter with the other users, not keep reverting. See WP:BRD. I don't know what the correct cover looks like, but I don't like edit wars. --Stefan2 (talk) 20:15, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have tried, Tomica keeps reverting and has never responded back to me. This is the original file the artist's team posted on her official website, britneyspears.com http://cfn.groundctrl.net/clients/britney_spears/media/04/04/images/assets/original.arAyI29WktNxjYgYuVDMw993Qa6DApC-Em6lUytyNGY.jpg. The only thing I did was convert the profile from Adobe RGB (1998) to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and make it 300x300 (since Livelikemusic told me Wikipedia requires covers to be square) without cropping so it would not lose it's original ratio.

Please see what the actual cover looks like. You're becoming more and more disruptive by the minute. — Status (talk · contribs) 17:42, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The US cover does look like the one I uploaded. Gcampbell92 (talk) 17:45, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have left a message at both Status and Tomica's talk pages to show that the cover I uploaded has the correct digital colors in RGB. Both have not responded to me. Gcampbell92 (talk) 16:02, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. livelikemusic my talk page! 03:32, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
