I would love to know from where the 1730-1732 birthdate originates[edit]

From where does this birthdate come? Benedict Swingate Calvert's tombstone in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Croom, Maryland says he was born Jan. 27, 1722. This 1730-1732 birthdate has metastasized across the Internet because of this article. Is the tombstone wrong? I hope so, because the later date is a better fit for my theory about the identity of his mother.
