Thanks for noticing! Finally, a positive contribution for my work on a television station. I get so many postings saying that most of what I include in an article does not pertain to the station or that the logos are not correct. I have no idea what people mean when they say things like that. Do you see anything in the articles that does not refer to the stations? I am also working on WAWS and WTEV. Super Bowl XXXIX GA nomination

Hi, I saw that you nominated Super Bowl XXXIX at Good article nominations and just wanted to point out that the article is currently missing a few things that will result in it being quick-failed. The main logo doesn't have a fair use rationale and the article has insufficient sourcing of inline citations. These are both requirements of the GA criteria which determine what articles are GAs. I'd recommend removing the nomination of the article for now until the issues are fixed (since adding inline citations for the information should take a while to complete) and renominating again later once you have addressed the criteria. Otherwise, if you leave the nomination up, somebody will probably quick-fail it. Anyway, good job on the article so far, and I hope you continue to improve it. Brunswick article

I saw that you made a lot of changes to Brunswick, Georgia, removing some material. I agree with moving the environmental stuff to Glynn County, since part of it is not in the city. However, I thought the stuff about the Liberty ships was good. Do you think it should be removed? Moved to the article on Liberty ships? Bubba73 (talk), 02:49, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

No, I didn't know about the History of Brunswick article, and that would be a good place for the Liberty ship material. And if it is there, one paragraph in the main Brunswick would be enough. Hi Sobar. The article does need quite a bit of work. I cleaned the page to a minimum (removing useless material that does not belong in an encyclopedia); I'll try to do some more when I have time. Queens

Someone has been creating articles on Wikipedia about the White House. You caused me considerable confusion because you cannot decide yourselves on the apostrophisation of Queens.

In http://whitehousemuseum.org/floor2/queens-bedroom.htm the <title> says Queen's but the <h1> says Queens'

In http://whitehousemuseum.org/floor2/queens-sitting-room.htm both the <title> and the <h1> say Queen's

The apostrophisation baffled me also. The floor plan at the museum's website shows it as Queens', but it appears to be different in the various articles. I've always defined it as the Queens' Bedroom, but I'm curious to see what the webmaster says. Jax (talk) 06:30, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Center Hall

Hi, yes, there is a Center Hall on the ground floor as well as the second floor. But no source I've seen other than Derek Jansen's White House Museum uses "Central Hall. The White House Historical Association guide book uses Center Hall, james Abbott's "Designing Camelot" past White House curator Betty Monkman's "The White House Its Historic Furnishings & First Families," and William Seale's "The White House, the story of an Idea" all use this term. Hi. I promise that I don't like conflict -- I really don't :) -- but Encarta (CTRL+F for Central Hall) and The Reagan Library (CTRL+F again) both have the room as the Central Hall. Also, the book Real Life at the White House has it as Central Hall. The WHHA does use the term, but it also uses the Central Hall (CTRL+F here). It's a similar situation to the East Sitting Hall, where certain sites use the East Sitting Room. United Statesman (talk) 22:24, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I am sorry, I've met no disrespect or commotion. I have checked through several editions of the official guide book, published by the White House Historical Association, the Historic American Building Survey and it is consistently termed Center Hall. I dug a little deeper looking at Henrietta Nesbitt's White House Diary, Wendell Garrett's Our Changing White House. Lillian Rogers Parks' Backstairs at the White House, and J.B. West's Upstairs at the White House (My Life with the First Ladies) and none use this term "Central Hall." Floor plans in the government publication The Report of the Commission on the Renovation of the Executive Mansion and in William Ryan and Desmond Guiness' The White House, an Architectural History use the term Center Hall. As I mentioned last night neither do the authors Seale or Monkman. From all I have seen it is far more the exception to call it the Central Hall. But it is an understandable intent to distinguish it from the ground floor's Center Hall. What would you think of titling the article "Second Floor Center Hall (White House) and in the lead-in paragraph beginning it as The second floor Center Hall or occasionally Central Hall ...? Photographs of White House

Hi United Statesman, I am not sure you know that the White House Museum is not a government website, and that many photographs on that site are neither the creation or property of the United States government. The site's web master, Derek Jensen, attempts to credit all photographs and you will note that several are credited to the non-government, private magazine Architectural Digest. The photograph you have uploaded depicting the Queen's Bedroom is not a U.S. government work. Please also note that after discussion with several editors it has been agreed to illustrate the articles on specific White House rooms with photographs of rooms focused on the architecture and decorative arts without human occupants. Photographs that show the rooms in use are best placed in articles about those people, with interwiki links to the room articles. CApitol3 (talk)

Thanks much for making a decision and offering comments on the Southworth House! As you saw, I've never participated in the GA process, so frankly I assumed that there would be something I'd forgotten that was necessary for a GA. I don't know if I'll be able to get any more pictures, as I'm never in Cleveland except for medical business that's now nearly done, and it's on the other side of the city.
