Thanks![edit]

Thanks for correcting vandalism on the Sparta article. It looks like it was in place for about a day (which is incrediblly long by Wikipedia standards). If you're interested in more information about fighting vandalism, check out WP:VAND. If you have any questions, feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page, User_talk:TeaDrinker. Thanks again and keep up the god work! --TeaDrinker 22:58, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I too am a conservative Republican, and I thank you for getting involved in the Ronald Reagan article. I joined Wikipedia back in February of this year; since then, I have become the primary/main editor of the Reagan article, I'd say I've improved it dramatically, and now it is up for a FA. Thank you for helping us to revert vandlism. Best, Happyme22 01:57, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization[edit]

Hi. In case you didn't see my reply on Happy's talk page, here's what I wrote: "I don't know where Patriot is getting the idea that capitalizing the word "president" is optional. It is not. In standard written English, it is no different from any other title. In fact, the Chicago Manual of Style (if not the final word, then certainly an authority greater than Flag Waving Patriot) clearly states that all titles be lowercase, even those immediately preceding proper names (CMOS 8.21). Most other recognized authorities prefer the rule I included above. If Patriot would like to offer an authority that contradicts this, he/she is welcome to try to do so." After posting that, I looked up the Wiki policy; it seems that Wiki has a policy that does not conform to any recognized authority on standard written English; this doesn't mean that we have to contribute to this error and write in poor English!  :) Thanks! Hello[edit]

Do you have an email address?

Jeremy221 21:36, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Email[edit]

Yes sir, I would just like to briefly discuss conservative politics. You say you are an American patriot and I am happy to say that I am one as well. It is not very appropriate to discuss politics on talk pages. An email is preferable. What do you know about Ron Paul?

Jeremy221 08:21, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know what some of his views are; I find his economic policies quite agreeable. I too would like to see the imcome tax repealed, but am concerned over what would take its place. Although, I disagree with his views on the Iraq War, but am tempted to agree with the hiring of "outside forces" to assist in the Middle East. Personally, I prefer Thompson as the GOP candidate, if that's where this is heading. Not that Paul would make a bad candidate, don't get me wrong, but I feel as though he just doesn't have the notoriety to win the election. Flag-Waving American Patriot 03:05, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If the income tax is abolished we would just follow what was directed in the constitution. This is a good video that explains the history of the income tax and how our system will work without it:

I also read your position on the Iraq war. While it seems noble to spread freedom to the oppresed, it is completely against fundamental American policy established by the founding fathers. The founding fathers never intended to spread freedom forcefully by intervening in the affairs of other nations. If everyone who said Ron Paul has no chance actually voted for him he would win. What about supporting him in the primaries?

Jeremy221 07:27, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You do have a point, but I still don't believe that it is the wisest decision to wager the outcome of this election, an extremely controversial and impacting one, on a candidate who, to be honest, is unknown to a majority of the voters. I believe that he would make a fine selection for the vice presidential position though. Again, I'm not disagreeing with his role in politics, but am more concerned with the outcome of this election. If he did get in office, I would not be discontent, quite the contrary; but, I feel that his numbers just don't come to par with the others. If Paul had been able to rally the support of American voters in the same manner that Thompson did, it would be a different story, however. Although, I will say this; as of right now, I will support Paul over McCain any day. Flag-Waving American Patriot 20:16, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, McCain and Guilani both want to grant amnesty to over twelve million illegal immigrants and they both support unchecked legal immigration. Current US legal immigration policy accepts roughly one million immigrants annually and 92 percent are non-European. Their policies will destroy America's European Christian heritage and they are completely against the history of American immigration law and what was envisioned by the founding fathers. It really doesn't matter too much if you support the democrats or the republicans as they are pretty much on the same team. Paul wins every single poll when it is administered fairly. There is also no doubt in my mind Paul would win the presidency if he would get the republican nom as he appeals to all groups. The basic thing is we have to stand for what is right and what the founding fathers would direct us to do. They wouldn't tell us to vote for the "lesser of two evils." Can you support Paul in the primaries? If he doesnt win the Republican nomination you can be free to vote for who you want. I also read a news article saying that McCain might drop out of the race because he is having trouble raising money due to his extremely liberal pro immigration stance, and Paul has been raising a lot of money. He is one of the top fundraisers and can compete with Romney as of now. The best thing you can do is write a check to his campaign, tell all of your friends about him and vote for him in the primaries.

Invasion of Iraq[edit]

"Blesséd are the peace-makers."

No-one calling themself a Christian could possibly support Bush's invasion of Iraq.  SmokeyTheCat  •TALK• 08:44, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could I interest you to register a "support" on Ronald Reagan's FAC candidate page, here? Best, Happyme22 21:22, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CVU status[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Flag Waving American Patriot[edit]

I'd like to say that I too am a flag waving American Patriot and I think it is sad that there are very few of us here on wikipedia and that our numbers are dwindling in our great country. I read your userpage and I have to agree with you except that I favor a team of Rudy Giuliani and Duncan Hunter in the presidential election. I am happy to have found another Patriot here on wikipedia.--Southern Texas 03:19, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
