Follow-up to deletion[edit]

Note that I have deleted the article 'Memoira' under the A7 criteria for deletion, namely there was no importance or significance asserted for the band. Please review WP:MUSICBIO, and if you believe that Memoira meets the notability criteria for inclusion outlined therein, I would suggest starting an article in your user subspace using the article wizard which will guide you through the creation process. This will give you extra time to work on the article at your leisure without worrying it will be immediately deleted. Once it is complete it can then be moved into article space. Notability of bands and music[edit]

Hi. I'm afraid you are wasting a great deal of your time trying to create articles that do not meet Wikipedia's requirements. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is selective about subjects for articles: there are websites that expect to have entries for every band, every album, every song that exists, but Wikipedia is not one of them. For article subjects generally, the requirement is called Wikipedia:Notability, and is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." For bands, the criteria are explained at WP:BAND. Even if a band is notable enough to have an article, it does not follow that their albums are, still less individual songs - see WP:NALBUMS and WP:NSONGS.

As Memoira has already been deleted at WP:Articles for deletion/Memoira any new article about them is likely to be speedily deleted unless it clearly shows how they meet WP:BAND. If (but only if) you think you can do that, your best course would be to make a draft article in your user space - see Help:Userspace draft for how to do that and WP:Your first article for more advice - and then apply at WP:Deletion review.
