I think you may have tagged this article with a need for copy editing.
Can you be specific? I'd be happy to do some copy editing if you give some hint about what you've got in mind.

Thanks

RE: Giselle Klein Revert

The revision you had made on Giselle Klein was not needed. The information given was quite useful actually. The edit by User:216.194.109.156, displayed new data and statistics that were needing updates due to the editied topic (Giselle's racing season stats) being still in progress. Please remember to check all information before doing revisions. Thank-you for your time and effort to try to prevent useless information and vandalism being spread through wikipedia. All in Gartitude,--Microwave09 (talk) 00:37, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

It sounded like vague vandalism to someone who isn't innately familiar with racing, my apologies. Falcon8765 (talk) 01:40, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure but I don't think so. You could have all the stuff on Wikipedia in that font for you're viewing via some Javascript on the my preferences section, but otherwise I don't know. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:10, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Lake Yoa

Falcon

Apparently you are the person who keeps adding tags to the article I wrote on Lake Yoa saying it is improperly sourced. There are four paragraphs to this article and at the end of each graph I cite the source for all of the information in the graph above. This is appropriate citation at the university I went to and it is somewhat distressing to me that you keep tagging this article.

Ken Ranson

Kcranson (talk) 04:13, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

It does indeed have sources, changed the tag to reflect the issue more. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:16, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Alright, I'm going to try this one more time. Everything in the paragraph above the citation is from the article in the citation. Therefore your claim that the sourcing is unclear is not accurate.

According to the Chicago Manual of Style, newspaper articles are never cited by page number because the same article might appear on different pages of different editions. The online version of the Kropelin article cited does not have page numbers.

Further the technical information in the Kropelin article has been reorganized by me In order to make the material more accessible to a non-technical audience. What you are suggesting is that I tag each factoid of information with page numbers immediately after each appearance of said factoid in my article. To do this would make the article cumbersome and unreadable. It would further, not increase transparency or accountability since anyone with any question about the applicability of the source material need only turn to the, relative short, sources cited. Further, the approach you suggest is never followed in academic settings. A paragraph paraphrasing large amounts of material in another source simply directs the reader to the first page where the paraphrased argument begins in the source.

As nearly as I can tell you have never looked at the original sources and so do not actually have a factual criticism to make concerning accuracy. Instead you look at the article for a few seconds, decide you don't like the looks of it, and then add a tag. I have to suggest that this is just as much intellectual vandalism as adding false information since what you are doing raises questions about the accuracy of my work when you do not in fact have any substantial basis for your criticisms.

Kcranson (talk) 04:35, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Just did it myself to eliminate the confusion. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:44, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi! I added a few hours ago a link to a beer (like the others that are in the same page) because I found that new beer is being comercialized in the beertender format here in Spain so I thought that was a good idea to put in there. Cruisedirect.co.uk page

Dear Falcon8765

Hello! You tagged this page for deletion - my mistake, I hadn't finished writing it and didn't realise the save button would immediately put it up for editing. I am obviously a wiki-newbie and I apologise.

I have now added the rest of the page and I hope you'll remove the tag. I have several more pages I want to create about the cruise line industry and how cruise holidays are marketed, sold, and reviewed through websites and through 'expert' analysis like Frommer's.

I noticed you reverted an editor who had changed the course description for the DPhil from "political science" to "politics". That may not be correct in this case. Currently, Oxford University refers to the DPhil as "Politics" (source) in the UK tradition. Her thesis is listed here, with the document entitled "Politics - Successful Theses 2001-2002". Texas

You may not realize this, but there are two flagship universities in Texas; UT and A&M. I object to the false claim that UT is the flagship, and A&M is the "main agricultural university." Whatever that means. Do some research and you will find an endless supply of articles supporting my claim.

Also, when discussing the University of Texas and Texas A&M Systems, why dispay a picture of SMU? The education section does a poor job informing readers of the two premier flagsips of Texas, since they're actually state universities, unlike Rice and SMU. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Austinite64 (talkcontribs) 17:22, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

I reverted it because it adds nothing to the article besides add some fluff. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:08, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

With all due respect Falcon, you know nothing about our site. For you to make that judgement makes zero sense. It actually speaks to the exact spirit of our site. The two idiot trolls who got your ear need to be ignored and the edit reverted. Thank you in advance.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainpain (talkcontribs)

You're right, I don't really know anything about your site; I don't know what you are talking about in regards to trolls talking to me, the material in question just isn't unencyclopedic. It's great that you have a thriving online community, but a list of users not notable for anything besides their arbitrary posts on Metal Sludge is unnecessary. For example, none of the other articles on forums have lists of their users and moderators (to the best of my knowledge) for the same reason. Falcon8765 (talk) 01:56, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Pardon me but it seems as if you're saying because we're unique it's no good. Those mentioned are known by literally thousands and thousands of posters in our community for many reasons, and for the past decade, not "arbitrary posts". The truth is those I have added are 500 times more "encyclopedic" than those who were written up before. That previous article is so ridiculously antiquated you might as well write your name there. They are meaningless to our site and have been for the past 9 years. I would like to see the MS section become remotely recognizable and relevant or what is the point? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainpain (talkcontribs) 04:32, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I intend no offense towards you or your site; if I had seen the previous list of users I would have removed that too. Honestly, I don't care a huge amount about the issue at hand, feel free to improve the article as necessary; I can't promise that someone else won't remove a list of users if they come across it though. Falcon8765 (talk) 16:47, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Thank you. The edit that I make is what I want it to stay like or "revert back to" if one of the trolls I spoke of came across it and changed it further in any way. Thank you so much for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainpain (talkcontribs) 21:23, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Why did you removed our entry and identified this as vandalism?

If you read the history ..the user 71.90.102.171 is constantly deleting our entry without reason. This is not acceptable. Can you explain? DevBase (talk) 17:59, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

It's an unnecessary link that doesn't really add anything to the article. See WP:EL. Thanks! Falcon8765 (talk) 18:00, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

What do you mean unnecessary? We offer free product for everyone to use... same as Flow player or Dash Media Player which are on the very same list. Can you explain why our free product is discriminated?

Thank you

Again, since you apparently didn't read it, WP:EL. Falcon8765 (talk) 18:07, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I read it, and our link was formatted accordingly to WP:EL guidelines. Is there anything specific I need pay attention to? Can you suggest proper way to add our link under that category?

Thank you for any advice.

DevBase (talk) 18:14, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

The problem is I'm not sure it should be added. Try asking other editors about it on the article's talk page.Falcon8765 (talk) 18:17, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

We are in the multimedia field / especially flash ...from 2004. We had collaborated with Macromedia (original Flash platform developer, purchased by Adobe) and we are developing numerous FLV based tools for years, since flash video was born (we own FLVplayer.com domain). I was under impression that our link is formatted incorrectly but allowing other players to be listed and discriminating our entry is (in our view) at least questionable. Especially that our suspicion is that the person which constantly deleting our entry is the owner of one of the player from the list. Our intention was just to add the link to let people use our free solution, not like other person which clearly deleted our post to keep his entry exclusive. (not sure why since this is FREE product section)

As I said before for years we are contributing to many publications about Flash Video Platform ...so since You (not other editors) deleted our entry I ask You for permission to include our link.

thank you

DevBase (talk) 18:35, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Frankly you don't need my permission, though I can't promise someone else won't revert it. When you get edit wars such as this, it's best to discuss the merits, or lack of them, on the article's talk page to reach an agreement that works. Falcon8765 (talk) 20:44, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Cordialement.90.36.126.87 (talk) 17:05, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Cordialement90.36.126.87 (talk) 17:20, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Je ne parles pas francais. Falcon8765 (talk) 17:49, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Rough translation:

You just undid the change I made on page Sebastien Mamboundou Mouyama. That modification is fully justified since the surname is misspelled on this page. It is indeed not Sébatien and Sebastian as it is written in the article. The name "Sebastian" is not French. As you've canceled the correction that I made to the article, you are requested to correct for yourself this error as soon as possible.

Cordialement.90.36.126.87 (talk) 17:05, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I am a contributor to the French Wikipedia, on which Sébatien Mamboudou Mouyama is not referenced. You say in your message that my level of English is inadequate to help the English Wikipedia. There is no need to speak English to realize that there is an error in the name of Mamboudou Mouyama! The name is not Sebastian and Sebastian! The name Sebastian does not exist (except perhaps in Spanish). In the Pdf document to which this Article refers, the name is correctly spelled as in the article there is an error. On the other hand, the border with Gabon is the only Hispanic country in Africa, a Spanish name given to a Gabonese politician can be detrimental to him (the Gabones and Equatorial Guineans are not on good terms). Anyway, even without that, I corrected an error not be included in Wikipedia.

John Logie Baird

Hello, Falcon8765;

Thanks for your attention to the John Logie Baird page. I see that you reversed my edits because you feel that my added link is an advertisement.

About the link Hawestv.com: This domain includes informative historical articles about mechanical television. Article topics include John Logie Baird. At first unsuccessfully, I tried to annotate my link entry. Later, I succeeded in the annotation. Maybe you meant to delete only the unannotated link. If so, then I agree with that reason your edit. I also tried to delete the unannotated link. Yet I couldn't find it. On the other hand, the annotated link remains. Thanks for leaving it alone. Incidentally, the domain Hawestv.com isn't a commercial endeavor. The site advertising only defrays some expenses.

About the remaining reversals: You might not realize that you actually reversed *all* my edits. These edits include some three new paragraphs, various sentence improvements, and some seven new references. I supported all my new material with verifiable, historically accurate, and well-established references. My changes didn't add bias. Instead, these changes corrected factual errors. For these reasons, I don't understand why you reversed my edits. In fact, your reversal restored historical errors and removed useful references. Even if you disagree, how can link rule violations justify your textual changes? Please explain your thinking.

I am most interested in the mechanical television works of Baird and his contemporaries. I want to see an accurate portrayal of Baird's contributions in Wikipedia. Please help me to understand your changes.

ColorWheel (talk) 18:11, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Dickinson College

Check your facts before you delete someone else's edit.

John Dickinson was not a Governor of Pennsylvania, he was the President of Pennsylvania and held this position before PA had governors.

John Dickinson was a very wealthy colonist and successful slave owner. He always had more salves than anyone else no matter where he lived.

Search for John Dickinson slave owner. He was born in Delaware but moved to the PA Colony. He represented both PA and Delaware at simultaneously while serving in the continental congress.

Stop reversing edits unless you are certain that you are correct. A simply google search of John Dickinson would show you that you are wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.79.190.67 (talk) 21:49, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

  • Hi Falcon, this editor was even more rude on my talk page. See their latest edit on Dickinson College--it's all yours, since this "punk kid" has to go to class. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 21:57, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
    • Hi too, you may want to add to the note that I put on his talk page regarding number of slaves someone owns not being relevant to an article about a school named after him (also since it is covered in JD's article too). Or not, just a suggestion. Cheers. --kelapstick (talk) 22:12, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Think about what the two of you are saying. Both of you are providing citations to back up the edits that I am making. Then both of you are arguing that because the facts are correct on one page, they need not be correct on another page. The facts must be consistent on every page. For example, why would you make the claim that it is ok to incorrectly refer to John Dickinson as the Governor of PA on the Dickinson College page, even though you have proven it to be untrue, then you make the claim that leaving the mistake there is the proper thing to do because the mistake is corrected elsewhere. Why not just correct the mistake on all pages so that the facts are truthful and consistent and alleviate the need for people to have to check every fact. Why do you insist that only one page gets to have the correct facts and all the others must have mistakes? That just makes no sense. If the fact is true, then cite that fact all the time, not just one in a while.

Do you even understand what I am saying to you? You don't cite the color green because you know that if someone really want the truth, then they will click on green to discover that you meant to say blue but decided to leave it as green because its clarified elsewhere. Facts are not interpretations. Green is green and blue is blue. Presidents are presidents and governors are governors. There were no governors until the PA colony agreed to give up some of its independence to be part of a new country. Before then, the Pennsylvanians and Virginians considered themselves to be separate counties with very close economic relationships. Steven Ambrose talked about this in many of interviews about the formation of the colonies.

We can't change the facts to John Dickinson being a governor simply because we want to think of the country as having been completely united by the time that he became the President of Pennsylvania. Who are you kids to determine that, while they said "President" they really meant "Governor". How do you know that? It could be true but it does not change the fact that he was the President of PA and not the Governor so please call him the President and stop insisting that he be referred to as the governor and if anyone wants to know the truth, well then they will just have to read the correct wikipedia page. Why can't all the pages be correct? Why are college kids opposed to this? Really, why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.79.190.67 (talk) 22:56, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Editing appropriately

I cannot possibly see what there could be wrong with adding links to a page that contains helpful information, in the form of writings, especially when they are available online and can be easily retrieved. As a writer, the free distribution of ideas is central. Besides, some of my work is already available on this and other pages. I'd be interested to know why you would be content to have the same word spelt in two different ways (gases and gasses) on the same page Suppressor.

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Alexander Schukoff. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. --bender235 (talk) 13:27, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Hello,

Are you the one who is undoing my editing of the Bitter Melon page? There is something inaccurate in your message to me on my talk page. For one thing, I did not add anything to the bitter melon page--I simply restored what used to be there. I included a lengthy justification for this in the "discussion" page for bitter melon. You are (or someone is) simply reverting to a recent edit whose quality is very poor. Secondly, to say that there is no documentation is irrelevant in this case as the material is not of a sort to be documented. 66.234.47.194 (talk) 20:27, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

If that is indeed the case, you have a stated conflict of interest - once an article is created on a subject, the subject has no control over the articles content discounting libel. Falcon8765 (talk) 18:37, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Armin Gessert

Well, thanks for deleting my stuff yesterday - I have a press release about his death now, but it's not online on any news site, yet. So we'll wait until somebody posts it somewhere and then he's dead, right? Seriously, instead of undoing everything all the time, a simple note saying that it is unverified at the moment would have boiled down to the same, but would have given us the time to wait until some sources pop up on the net. You want to protect wikipedia from vandalism, which is perfectly ok, but ending up undoing clearly non-vandalist stuff without even replying anymore is just lame, sorry. This is just putting your own 'penis' to this site (according to your completely objective statement on your own userpage).

I apologize, but without any means of independent verification from a news source about his death, it's a big nono. Wikipedia has had problems with vandals proclaiming people to be dead when they really aren't, for example someone changed Ted Kennedy's page to say that he died several months before he actually did, and actually caused several news outlets to report on it. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:27, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Additionally, I wasn't trying to be rude - however if you had followed the link in the message on your original IPs talk page, it would have offered a detailed explanation. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:31, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Deletion review for Collectors' Choice Music

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Collectors' Choice Music. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. I note that this got tagged for speedy deletion and actually deleted before I even saw the message that it was tagged. What was the rationale for this? There are lots of other record labels that are not considered worthy of deletion, which are a lot more obscure than this one. -- BRG (talk) 17:21, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

As is mentioned in the notification on your talk page, the company in question didn't have any claim to notability. Other companies being less notable and having Wikipedia pages isn't a viable argument. Honestly, if you are willing to recreate the page and include references and such - possibly including published material that the company has produced, I would be happy to see the article again :). I thank you for contributing; I probably should have tagged the page with maintenance tags and given you a chance to improve it instead of tagging it for deletion. Falcon8765 (talk) 21:14, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
First of all, if there is a question of notability, the normal practice is not to just speedy-delete it but put it up on AfD so it can be discussed. Second of all, if you had simply looked at "what links here" the company has released a lot of albums that were worthy of Wikipedia articles, which in itself would establish notability. (Your request to "including published material that the company has produced," is laughable, as just doing a "what links here" would have established this!) -- BRG (talk) 14:22, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't care overmuch; I honestly don't see why a deletion review is necessary, just recreate the article with references to a couple of published albums to establish notability as I suggested, but whatever floats your boat. Falcon8765 (talk) 15:02, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

The bot in question reverts link additions by new and unregistered users to certain sites like imageshack. It's an anti-spam measure, but I see that you weren't spamming - no worries, it's just automated. Falcon8765 (talk) 22:31, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Personal attacks

How is "You are not helping this website to grow, you are just commiting sabotage to wikipedia" not a personal attack? Eeekster (talk) 23:10, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Sounds more like a new user getting frustrated. Remember not to bite. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:13, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't think he's a new user. Just a sockpuppet. Eeekster (talk) 23:16, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
I see what you're talking about now. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:17, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
I find the no edits other than to my talk page to be a bit suspicious. Eeekster (talk) 23:18, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but I don't think it looks like a case of malicious sockpuppetry - more like an IP who registered after a few edits. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:19, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Reversion?

Little fast on the trigger there. What's with your reversion of my message? 173.170.157.188 (talk) 04:09, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Didn't see a reason for it. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:12, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
You delete messages from other people's talk pages if you don't see a reason for them? 173.170.157.188 (talk) 04:13, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
When they are flagged by Huggle and appear to be vandalism, yes. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:14, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
What about my message made it appear to be vandalism? Don't let computers do your thinking for you. 173.170.157.188 (talk) 04:15, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't see any obvious reason for the warning, and IPs often copy paste warnings to talk pages as vandalism. You've readded it, so it doesn't particularly matter. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:17, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
A) What warning? B) It looks like you used Twinkle, not Huggle. C) Just be more careful, OK? 173.170.157.188 (talk) 04:19, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
This edit - The text is included in the BLP warning templates, so without any apparent source to be warned for, I reverted it. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:21, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
What BLP warning template is it included in? It isn't a warning. "Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libelous or harmful." How is that a warning? 173.170.157.188 (talk) 04:25, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
I was mistaken that it was vandalism apparently, so I apologize. No harm no foul. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:27, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your explanation. Just take your time. Computers aren't always right. Good luck. 173.170.157.188 (talk) 04:54, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

John D Hancock

John D. Hancock

Hello Falcom 8765,

I am new to editing and am inquiring to what changing I need to make to the editing that I did to Mr. Hancock's site. I added additional references. Are the editing changes okay? I would like to make further additions to Mr. Hancock's biography showing his works. I started with his work as a director on the stage. I would like to continue with his works as a film director. Could you give me guidance. Thank you. Also, some of the references are from the 60's, 70's and 80's and it is difficult to find the volume numbers, etc. Example: Cue Magazine has been acquired by Murdock's New York. I do not have access to those achieves at this time.Win67ner (talk) 05:18, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Per Spartaz's request, I am notifying you that this discussion that you participated in has been relisted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Una Healy (2nd nomination) in the hopes to gain a more fair consensus due to the participation of three sock puppet accounts in the earlier discussion. The three sock accounts that checkuser confirmed are the same person voted to delete or redirect and made multiple edits to the discussion which closed as "redirect" and therefore may have created a false impression of consensus by vote-stacking. LSE Rankings

I would appreciate that you would ensure that people do not delete factually cited references on rankings.

It really hurts the reputation of Wiki when rankings are just deleted because a person disagrees with the rankings.

Dear Falcon, regarding the article about the Aoyama area in Tokyo, I'd like to point out that in japanese the "i" adjective "aoi" 青い have different menings, one of which is also "green", which is a much more suitable colour for a mountain (in japanese "yama" 山) than blue. Hence Aoyama means literally "green mountain" as much as "aoki" 青木 means "evergreen tree", "aota" 青田 means "green rice field", "aoba" 青葉 means "green leaf" etc etc. I thought that this simple fact was "verifiable" by itself, being a simple word of common use in japanese. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alec7412 (talkcontribs) 17:44, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, thanks. Just wanted an explanation. Falcon8765 (talk) 01:37, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

I'm very sorry.

That comment i wrote on that Johnny unitas page, was a joke. It was just something random. Are you a ravens fan? Becuase if you are, i figured you would be offended. XFactor

Dear Falcon8765. I made an edit to the X-Factor page regarding the reported sexual relationship between Lloyd Daniels and Danyl Johnson. I expressly said that neither party involved, nor the X-Factor production team, had confirmed the relationship. However, it is undeniably true that rumours have circulated (Google their names if you have any doubt). This is relevant to the show and to the entries on the two individuals involved. Why did you revert my edit to the page, which in my opinion was not derogatory, untrue or unjustified on the article entry? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.24.30.143 (talk) 14:59, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

External links for Huttwil

Hello Falcon, I just tried to add a link (for the first time in wikipedia) to Huttwil. The Huttwil page does not have any pictures, so i assumed that a link to page with pictures of Huttwil would be an "added value" for this page. Why it is not in your opinion, or what did i do wrong? regards Arno Konings —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.221.227.72 (talkcontribs)

Hello there, thanks for trying to improve the encyclopedia! If you are wanting to add an image, you should upload it to the site first - but copyrighted images are exempt. :(. Falcon8765 (talk) 14:18, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Does this mean that if a wiki-page has no pictures, then the only accepted "added value" are directly added pictures (commons) without any copyrights. But a link to a page with pictures (copyrights or not) that are related to the subject (city) is not the prefered way. Or should the linked page also have pictures without any copyrights (although it is not part of wikipedia)? regards AK —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.221.227.72 (talkcontribs)
I went ahead and readded your link as it adds to the article. Falcon8765 (talk) 14:35, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

I cant be arsed dealing with you lot anymore

Your articals are crap, badly written and your staff and the people who run it are arrogant as hell.

I mearly added two lines, which if searched upon (like google) will give others with a brain a head start when it comes to finding material which will need to progress their research further. as frankly the stuff you lot have written up is useless, but thats hardly surprising considering the bias at your organisation, and i have no respect for you lot anymore.

Futherhmore you lot are so clique, and have so many double standards when it comes to adding material its unreal, as there is plenty of uncited sources all over the shop. as frankly you lot aren't neutral at all when it comes to certain articals. that i think you actually put knowlege back at times. as its not whats in, but whats left out which is key!

its almost as though you want to turn the people into mindless zombies, and its smacks of the system. and the prejudice regarding people like stanly meyer is offensive. i.e. it smacks of a bunch of arrogant morons regurgitating crap, thinking they know it all! you have no respect for knowlege, and no respect for the past.

rest assured i will never ever, try adding anything to wikipedia again, so yeah take your badly written history and shove it up your arse as i will share my knowlege with those who do respect it elsewhere.

This was an experiment this time, to see if you lot would keep anything up, and to see if anything had changed, but i can see you lot are never going to change, and are just getting worse! ergo its a waste of time, passing on anything to people like you.

Do you get a hard on censoring knowlege? do you feel big, powerful controlling what the people can see and hear? as you have so many double standards its unreal.

as some knowlege will never get passed on, the orgional idea! personal experiences of the people, their own discoveries because you lot can't handle the idea of anyone coming up with anything new! notwithstanding that problem has nothin to do with that edit, but their are certain areas which will only ever get passed on to other witches. because you lot can't handle the idea of anyone writting at all mais c'est la vive, the apple is lost, and the people are screwed because people like you have no idea!

and neither will they! because you censored it again! may you rot in hell for eternity for your crime as really i have no respect for you lot at all, now.

its laboured, its forced, is repetivie, and yeah i just want to throttle lot again

no if you excuse me, i have to go and find a bible to burn in a public demonstration of my views. you see i rate the peoples experiences, and their knowlege (witches knowlege) over the quality and the accuracy of that source!

thus i do it the same as paracelcius did with galans work... this reference will perhaps be lost on you! but never mind others may get it. peut-etra

have a nice day, and enjoy mithras's birthday as well! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.154.188.135 (talkcontribs)

Exorcism video link removal!

Hi! You removed a link I made to an exorcism video. What was the specific error with the video since I cannot find anything that goes against WIKI standards after reading it. PeaceHumilityisfine (talk) 16:14, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure that it violates any guideline per se, but I didn't feel that it warranted inclusion. While it was illustrative of an exorcism, it doesn't detail any circumstances surrounding the act and thus lacks context.Falcon8765 (talk) 16:19, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

It was most illustrative and showed many different things of an exorcism. What an exorcism is or how much info an exorcism is all about is defined differently by different persons. You are not the judge of this. Who can I contact when an admin violates the WIKI rules and reverts additions which are fully within WIKI rules? Peace!Humilityisfine (talk) 16:27, 19 January 2010 (UTC)Humilityisfine (talk) 16:24, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I am not an administrator, nor am I violating any guideline that comes immediately to mind. I disagreed that the video should be listed in the article as it smacked of promotional spam - of which I see countless examples of. If you want the video to be included, feel free to comment on Talk:Exorcism. Discussion is ongoing. Falcon8765 (talk) 16:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

What promotional spam? Where can I contact people who are judges over these situations so I dont have to deal with "I didnt feel it warranted inclusion". Feelings should be excluded. Again I am new here and thus a stupid one compared to many, but I learn pretty quick and I have learned that many make rash revertions which are overruled. Anyone can make a mistake. Peace and hope I dont sound hostile. Humilityisfine (talk) 16:37, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Disputes over content are usually discussed on the talk page of the article in question. If consensus is unable to be reached, various methods of dispute resolutions are available such as WP:RFC. I'm not trying to come off as rude or arrogant - it's still in the early AM. Falcon8765 (talk) 16:42, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Trance

I had no sources for my take on progressive trance. I assumed my many years of experience producing and releasing trance and progressive music would qualify me to add some useful knowledge to the definition of what progressive trance is. If you need a source then sorry I cannot provide you with one. Unfortunately, finding a "trusted" source or website on a genre is not the best way to go sometimes. Sometimes it is best to get input from those that help shape the actual genre. Anyways, I understand. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.6.113.141 (talk) 04:19, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

The film is amazing. I just wrote a little more on the plot section, perhaps you can help. I don't know what type of raptor Pan became to steal the compass back. With your screen name I thought you might be able to help. Thanks for your kind words. Allenwala (talk) 19:42, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Trying to understand

Hello, you keep editing my article and I am a bit confused as to why.

First, I understand why "award winning artist" may seem tainted however, directly after that I have entered a reference to a list of all of the awards that this artist has one. That's like saying you can't say "gold medal winner" in when referring to an Olympic athlete, because that taint's the article, even though they did win a gold medal.

Second, this orphan article issue. I have linked almost every possible Proper noun, profession, industry, company, and organization, to other articles in Wikipedia. Other then the articles, such as "A", "AN", and "THE", and verbs such as "IS", i don’t know what more I can do to have you stop adding this to my article. Even in the suggested links that appears in the Orphan tag box I am given NO SUGGESTIONS.

Third, since you are continually going into my article and editing it, perhaps you could do something constructive, as opposed to destructive and fix the reference list. While I have entered the article into Wikipedia, I do have problems with some of the programming language. Therefore, as you can see, I have four or five of the same book referenced, and it's starting to look ridiculous. Maybe you could fix that instead of just writing "needs citation" next to everything. While I am not an expert, as far as I am concerned the point of Wikipedia is to add to the content of information in the world. While I understand your position as to the importance of accuracy of content, simply pointing out parts of an article you seem to have a problem with, without referencing how to improve upon them is just as irresponsible as someone adding an article with no substantive facts.

J11mcdowell (talk) 00:53, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

The maintenance tags are not any intended slight on your editing ability, but serve to draw attention to problems with the article and get other editors to fix them. When an article is tagged, it gets placed into patrolled categories and will eventually get looked at. As far as the orphan tag is concerned, you've confused the blue internal links within an article to blue links on other pages that link to the article in question. You can see what links to an article via Special:WhatLinksHere. There is consensus on the 'award winning' in lead situation. As an example, people who have won a Grammy Award don't have 'Grammy Award-winning' included in the lead. As far as my edits to the article are concerned, I fixed what I could during my available time. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:59, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Alexa Rae Joel - regarding a statement in the Suicide attempt section

I am contemplating removing the following text from the "Alexa Rae Joel" article, to wit:

This is because homeopathic medicine has no active ingredients and they are essentially all placebos.****"Why Placebo's Didn't Kill Alexa Ray Joel". Livescience.****

This statement is extremely controversial and the referenced source is not qualified to speak on the subject. His degree merely being a B.A. in Psychology. Thus the statement is not encyclopedic.

I noticed you had reverted a couple of prior edits removing that text, so I wanted to run this by you before I make the edit, as well as making clear this is a legitimate edit and not vandalism. Safiel (talk) 03:12, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

G-Man

Please read the "No Original Research" article, and stop scoffing, and stop deleting comments based on your own personal opinion, theories and generally considered variables are acceptable, you are vandalising an article and I would appreciate if you stopped. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.71.32.68 (talk) 20:02, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

I am well familiar with Wikipedia's verifiability policies. If it doesn't have a source, it probably shouldn't be included. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:30, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
I understand that you are trying to improve the article, but if can't you see how if we don't have some reliable source reporting on it we have absolutely no confirmation that it is anything beyond your own personal opinion, which thousands of anonymous editors strive to input into articles every day. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:32, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Yes it's my own personal opinion, despite the fact with the last edit I gave two sources, the edit was deleted a few hours later. -.- Grow up.

Stop deleting decent edits that have source, to quote you "Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to G-Man (Half-Life), you will be blocked from editing."

The point in this article is that it's got an Identity section, since we don't know his identity we can only reliable cite theories, if you want to delete some origional research go delete the page on Dark Matter, there isn't any conclusive evidence for that either. Tag clutter

Hey sorry, I wasn't logged in, but my general rule is to remove ~year old tags on sight. I figure if a year has gone by without the person who tagged the article getting around to fixing it themselves, that's their problem. If it hasn't been fixed due to intractable disagreements on the talk page, then the tag is just as pointless, and I consider delving through the archives hardly ever to be worthwhile. And if someone doesn't like it, they'll just put it back. But I don't think I violated any policy here, in fact as I'm working on WP:HANDLE just lately, old tags should, imo, probably be on that list. -- Kendrick7talk 23:58, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

I disagree. The maintenance tags get the article looked at for the tagged issue eventually as they are all placed into categories based on the tag date. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:00, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
But you can remove it if you want. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:01, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Libelous?

Please explain how adding someone's middle name to a page is libelous? You have refused to allow me to add the full names to any of the people listed on the Charlotte Country Day School page saying that it is "controversial" and "libelous". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.134.206.210 (talk) 03:40, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Adding 'Gaylord' as a middle name with no reference could be construed as vandalism, especially on a school article. Someone could use it insultingly. Falcon8765 (talk) 03:44, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Re Conflict of interest

Falcon8765

I had 2 edits to a post that you reverted. They were simple images updates to current images. I fail to see how this will constitute a conflict of interest.

Please inform me as to how we can update the article with current images. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mantrafilms (talkcontribs) 23:57, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

You edited Joe Francis, who is the CEO of Mantra Films. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:55, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
  • User:Falconkhe and many random IPs with the same writing and grammar style had continuously been vandalizing the above mentioned pages by adding tags and other [citation needed] tags, which other admins and recognized editors agreed were non-constructive. His/her edits were reverted many times, hence, I reverted the edit and think that the articles are fine in their neutrality and do not need the tags. If you disagree, I am willing to discuss the matter.-- NY7 04:23, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi, Thanks for your comments NY, which were too accusatory. Well I have always mentioned facts and the fact is that you want to promot Younus and his organization and using wikipedia for this purpose. First of all his actual name is Muhammad Younus and not younus algoher. The second thing, which made you (NY) emotional when I ask for reliable sources but you always come up with self publish (Own) webs references, which are not accepted on wikipedia. I am asking for authentic and reliable information for readers of wikipedia. Did I do something wrong, its you who wants Edit War not me. You seems very rigid to promote your cause but wikipedia is not suitable place for you to do a thing like this.--Falconkhe (talk) 06:50, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Not sure what that error means, but you have to have rollback rights to use it. Might be the problem if you don't have them. Falcon8765 (talk) 04:39, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
i have requested for rollback (although i have one of the worst requests, im really bad at doing those DX ). anyway, if i'm denied, i'll just go back to using twinkle instead. (also, how long does approval/denial usually take? and where do people come up with the names for these vandalism reverting tools?)Abb615 (talk) 04:59, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
A day or two usually. Huggle can be difficult to use if you aren't used to Wikipedia policies, and it's easy to mess things up with it. I'd recommend using Twinkle for now :). As for the names, I have no idea where they come up with them. Falcon8765 (talk) 05:01, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

COI problem

Hi Falcon8765: Thanks for your email concerning the COI on the page I have attempted to add photos to. It appears that the problem is that I attempted to add photos to the page on which I am featured. This has caused quite a bit of problems with another editor (Martin H.). As far as the continued attempts to label the page as COI, I believe the only solution may be to turn the page into a stub. Unfortunately, I feel unethical doing that and feel it would be a violation of the original editor's rights on Wikipedia. I did not write the original page. The text is not mine. I also did not taken the COI or the cleaning tag off the page in the last instance. **I only attempted to load images two years after someone else created the page, and I let Martin H. know it was me who was doing this.** I am sorry now that I tried to load pics--believe me!.

Perhaps the problem is that the original creator of the page (I think) is named "EcoArtTech." This is also the name of a group with which I am affiliated. This is a collaborative with many, many members, some of whom I have not been in contact with for years. This entire problem is based on the assumption that someone named "ecoarttech" is affiliated with ecoarttech. There is no proof of this. This is the name of a well-known artistic group. It's possible that anybody could have taken on that name.

If this COI problem cannot be fixed, please do change the page into a stub. Or delete it. I will not do this myself because I feel it is unethical to the original editor, but I would like to have that flag taken off my page. It discredits me professionally. Or please do delete the page. ASAP. Thanks so much. Artconstructionset (talk) 23:42, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

DEFAULTSORT

Why did you add {{DEFAULTSORT:Article name}} tags to (almost) all the G7 and G8 summit articles? Shouldn't that directive only be used when you want to sort an article in categories by something other than it's title? (Besides, for most categories an article like 8th G7 summit would go into, you'd want to sort it under "G7", not "8th", right?) - dcljr (talk) 17:46, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

That was six months ago. WP:AWB adds defaultsorts automatically. Falcon8765 (talk) 20:32, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
OK, I'm going to remove them. Thanks for the reply. (BTW, after rewording my original message before I saved it, I didn't notice the links didn't match the wording anymore, so I've switched them around in this edit. They're the same links, though.) - dcljr (talk) 23:41, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi Falcon,

Par Disambiguation

Re this revert of yours, I have a question: I've seen many a disambiguation page where the most common usage was listed at the beginning, then all the other possible meanings come afterwards. Hacienda (disambiguation), Hades (disambiguation), and Habsburg (disambiguation) are just three of literally hundreds—if not thousands—of examples. How is Par different? 98.71.218.248 (talk) 08:42, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

You are correct - I'm just not sure it's use in golf is the most common. Falcon8765 (talk) 15:10, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Read the guidelines. as linked in your warnings. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:04, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

again I am failing to see what is bad part of the community issue is a lot of backlash the game is getting people are wanting to know about the bannings. but being wiki they want it verifiyed thats what im tyring to do there

Again, content must have a reliable source and be of a neutral point of view. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:06, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

ITS A DIRECT EMAIL FROM A STAR TREK ONLINE GM IT DOESNT GET ANY MORE RELIABLE! im not making a forum its an addition to the section about the community and said back lash over the price changes these are known FACTS: and if thats not good enough delete the whole damn section as it has nothing citied either and is incomplete at best —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.192.43 (talk) 07:18, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

I'm trying to tell you that a reliable publication has to comment on it, your idividual interpretation is not admissible. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:20, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

....So me being the person of said subject can't say this is fact because It hasnt been posted anywhere else besides private email and such...You realize how screwed that than makes me right? Thats like... being a famous war hero who did something incredible but was the only survivor... but because he didnt write a book yet or something it cant be on the wiki..... if thats the case just delete the community section altogether mate —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.192.43 (talk) 07:22, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Comparing your situation to that of the only survivor of some war action is laughable. But to answer your question, your personal commentary on personal correspondance is not admissable to Wikipedia. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:25, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey its late here its the best example I could come up with... But basically my example was correct. Just curious do you work for Cryptic/Atari they would love you in their ranks :/

also fyi I hope your up 24/7 this wiki is gonna get trashed as long as the wiki thread is up on the STO forums —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.192.43 (talk) 07:28, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

I'm just a college student. I volunteer here. If you want your content included, I suggest you familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:29, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Well your taking it to the extreme my friend... Also I rarely ever have the urge to edit any wiki just sto has turned into such a flaming pile of shit there is a lot of passioned argument on the forums most of it anti cryptic due to their bad PR management.

how is he talking anything to the extreme? --Abb615 (talk) 07:40, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
It's okay, I get new editors commenting on some outrage against their person all the time. I usually just ignore them - rational explanations usually don't do any good. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:42, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

well its not that it wasn't rational I just didnt understand what the issue was... But from my perspective I am still in a paradox. Also the gameplay section is completely opinionated and again the community section should just be deleted entirely... going by your stringent enforcement of wikiness :/

I never said the article was perfect, and yes, if the issue is important enough, a third party will comment on it and perhaps included into the article. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:46, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

I wouldnt want you to suffer.. But maybe you should play STO for yourself and see how it should be changed Im sure you would find it challenging to keep it "neutral" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.192.43 (talk) 07:49, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Not interested. I'm sure editors whom have played the game have edited the article. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:51, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

If it has anything to do with users being banned, i went on the forums and saw a thread called "Who is doing this to the wiki?" it talks about how users are NOT being banned but are just leaving (or something like that, i didnt read it very well). -- Abb615 (talk) 07:54, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

No idea. Personally, I think the game looks terrible; hence why I don't play it. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:55, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Hola!

How can we add images to a new article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:DiligentDavidG/Canatuan_mine_Philippines - we are just starting out on WP. I did make the mistake of attempting to add quick articles - that you have already tagged for deletion (which is fine for the time being but will re-visit this when time permits.)

Please advise us how to add images to new articles being newbies to Wikipedia. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Byoguru (talkcontribs) 08:02, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello! To add an image to Wikipedia you first must upload it to Wikipedia. The guidelines can be stringent regarding copyrights and such, so be sure to only upload files that aren't copyrighted. Falcon8765 (talk) 08:04, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

ok - I knew that. I guess I needed to say that I am not allowed to upload images as I am not an autoconfirmed user - I was attempting to add new articles to qualify. I currently do not have data to edit any wikipage so I do not see how I am going to be "autoconfirmed".

O- and the images have been created specifically for this Wikipedia article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Byoguru (talkcontribs) 08:11, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

From WP:AUTOCONFIRMED:

A number of actions on the English Wikipedia are restricted to user accounts that pass certain thresholds of age (time passed since the first edit) and editcount: users who meet these requirements are considered part of the pseudo-group 'autoconfirmed'. Autoconfirmed status is checked every time a user performs a restricted action: consequently, it is granted automatically by the software. The precise requirements for autoconfirmed status vary according to circumstances: for most users on en.wiki, accounts that are more than four days old and have made at least 10 edits are considered autoconfirmed. However, users editing through a Tor network are subjected to stricter autoconfirmed thresholds: 90 days and 100 edits.

Autoconfirmed status is required to move pages, edit semi-protected pages, and upload files or upload a new version of an existing file. Autoconfirmed users are no longer required to enter a CAPTCHA for most events. Autoconfirmed users may mark pages as patrolled in Special:NewPages and save books to the wiki. In addition, the Edit filter has a number of warning settings that only affect editors who are not autoconfirmed.

Falcon8765 (talk) 08:13, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks but do not know why you are taking the time to send me this - I have read it - is there something specific you would like me to know? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Byoguru (talkcontribs) 08:19, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Hong Kong English

You wrote (on my talk page):

In a recent edit, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to other English-speaking countries, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the appropriate variety of English used there. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, you can ask me on my talk page or you can visit the help desk. Thank you. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:59, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

I appreciate your comment, but fail to understand why you wrote it since it does not apply to the subject edit. In fact the reverse applies and this is precisely why I made the change.
You refer to an edit that I made on Rediffusion Television, the first television station Hong Kong founded in 1957 by Associated-Rediffusion, a British corporation, and now known as Asia Television Limited.
For your information, the customary spelling of English in Hong Kong is according to the Oxford dictionary, not Webster's. Also, the article relates to a British corporate entity. I know it maybe tempting for you to assume that English outside the UK uses US spellings, but if you travelled the world, you would find this assumption to be false.

Material in question has a reliable source. Falcon8765 (talk) 21:10, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
The biological facts of the item have a reliable source. Blood is not blue. The issue of whether it is a common misconception is disputed. There is a clear difference between those two issues. I could add an item that states it is a common misconception that the moon is made of cheese and provide a reliable source that the moon is not made of cheese. That would not qualify the item to be included as a misconception simply because I said it is. Unless there is a consensus to include it, leave it out. 71.77.21.198 (talk) 22:00, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi Falcon, I have just reverted some vandalism caused by 82.198.230.99 (talk · contribs) and was going to (smack a warning on the ip talk page, when I noticed that you have put a series of warnings (including a final) there already due to unhelpful edits on another article. Does this edit merit taking your warning forward? Would you like to take some action? Regards, —MDCollins (talk) 10:13, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Hello,

I had contributed to this page "India and weapons of mass destruction". Along with my contributions I also had cited about 4 references, irrespective of that, my contributons never get accepted even if its from reliable sources whose references I give in the page, I want to know the reason, why is it so..?

Kinldy help me in knowing it,

Repeated "issues" with Politics in Virginia page

I don't see the problem with POV or "unreliable" sources. McDonald defeated Deeds by a wide margin. Nothing non-neutral about that. Republicans swept state-wide elections. Nothing non-neutral about that either. The papers made a big deal about both facts. Unless you want to write me out a list of newspapers you consider reliable, why don't you just let the edit stand? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.161.148.61 (talk) 16:30, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Bois des Moutiers

Hi,

I noticed you made some changes on this page Bois des Moutiers. Could you explain why you deleted the gallery and references ?

Thanks in advance. Seivolia (talk) 06:06, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Seivolia (talkcontribs) 06:04, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
Removed the gallery because Wikipedia isn't a photo gallery; additionally, the link removed was commercial, therefor didn't meet the link guidelines. Falcon8765 (talk) 18:28, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Tanks for your reply. But here are some points I do not understand. First, you mark the source from the TV report as unreliable. I think either you have not read the whole sentence or you did not watch this TV report but it is the owner himself who says what I wrote (and I am French so don't worry about the translation if this is where the problem lies). Second, you mark the tone of the article as inappropriate: would not it be more appropriate to explain in what it is not appropriate ? because, if we do things that way, it is going to be a long run. Third, you mark It was designed to highlight the relation that binds together Nature and Man and citation needed in the introduction : I added in the first note (maybe in the wrong place, I give you that) that the whole content of this article is from their website and I know that it is true because I am the author of the original website and the whole content of this website was made with the owner. Fourth, I have sent the authorisation for reproduction today so no problem of copyright. Fifth, Removed the gallery because Wikipedia isn't a photo gallery: well good luck to you if you want to remove all galleries on wikipedia and in the first place you should complain the authors of wikipedia for having integrated this gallery option but I think here I missed your point. Sixth, the link removed was commercial : how is that ? Seventh: About category : in the french wikipedia, we can add more than one category to a page, is it forbidden here ? Eighth, the website address is www.bois-des-moutiers.fr not www.bois-des-moutiers.fr/anim because there is a flash detection on the first page and langage is not French but French and English (I think you missed the link on the top-right of the page). I was about to forget : Ninth, you mark This English style cared-for garden is listed as a historical monument and remarkable garden also as citation needed. What do you mean ? The Bois des Moutiers is in the official gouvernment list of monument historique and remarkable gardens. Is it the official statment that you want ? Because, in that case, all museums and related things in wikipedia should put theirs too. And tenth, you wrote links all exist in text : is it so bad gathering them in one section so that people does not have to seek them through the text ? Maybe it is. It is just that in the french wikipedia (again and I know here it is the english version) this is something usual and I think it is more efficient for the reader. Please, give me your thoughts about these points.

I add that I changed some things in the text because, Yes it was a little bit too commercial for wikipedia. (if this is the wrong place to answer and it is better to do that somewhere else like my own page, tell me) Seivolia (talk) 10:16, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

I put the tone tag on the article because there is a lot of flowery language (no pun intended) that isn't encyclopedic in nature. The Youtube interview was marked as *potentially* unreliable because youtube videos in general should be avoided. Overall, it's not too bad though. Falcon8765 (talk) 19:17, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
I agree with you about youtube but you cannot forget the fact that the person talking in this video is the owner... So, I think it is reliable enough, don't you think ? And about the other points what do you think ?Seivolia (talk) 16:36, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
You can have more than one category for a page, the museum thing is alright without a source, the extra links in the see also section are just redundant in my opinion. It'll get fixed eventually though. Falcon8765 (talk) 17:43, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for replying. I will keep that in mind. Seivolia (talk) 10:25, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Genesis creation myth versus Genesis creation account

When I saw the word 'myth' I assumed it refered to dictionary.com's 3,4 or 5 below. That is it didn't appear neutral to me. Yes you could argue that it refers to meaning 1 but then that isn't bullet-proof for those readers who don't ascribe that particular meaning to the word. The word 'account' I think is neutral because it can refer to a true or false account. E.g a criminal can give his account of his whereabouts on the day of a robbery.

–noun 1.a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, esp. one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature. 2.stories or matter of this kind: realm of myth. 3.any invented story, idea, or concept: His account of the event is pure myth. 4.an imaginary or fictitious thing or person. 5.an unproved or false collective belief that is used to justify a social institution.

Joe Francis Wikipedia Page continued

Hi Falcon,

Per your request, here are sources that contradict a few of the statements on Joe Francis's Wikipedia page:

On JF's page it says: "Police had to separate Francis from Hoffman"

  • On http://www.meetjoefrancis.com/joe-francis-biography/joe-francis-biography-page4.php is states “This is what they did to me,” I said, gently pressing her against the police car in a playful demonstration of how the Florida police chilled my constitutional rights. The cop and my crew members saw what I was trying to explain and laughed at our horseplay, but the clueless reporter missed my point altogether. She turned on me with a strange look in her eyes. Perhaps I triggered some traumatic memory from her past because suddenly she wasn’t smiling anymore. She stormed away, called for a cab and left. I never saw her again, but a few weeks later, her article came out in the Los Angeles Times, and it was a complete hatchet job.

On JF's page it says: In January 2004 Francis was kidnapped from his Bel Air home by a would-be blackmailer, Darnell Riley. Riley first put a revolver up to Francis's head and duct-taped his hands behind his back. He was first videotaped, lying on a bed with his shirt off and a vibrating dildo at the crest of buttocks, repeating "My name is Joe Francis, I'm from Boys Gone Wild and I like it in the [buttock]." The assailant later attempted to extort $500,000 from Francis and he received a 10-year sentence. [9][10]

  • Is there anyway we can change the last "he" at the end of the sentence to "Darnell Riley". We are not contesting this statement we just want to make it more clear as to who received the 10 year sentence.

On JF's page it says: Mantra Films has come under legal scrutiny on a number of occasions. Recurring allegations include that footage of women engaged in sexual activity was used without the consent of the women, that Mantra Films engaged in sexual exploitation of minors, and that incomplete records were kept of participants in GGW videos.[11][12]

  • While this statement may be true it is in reference to MANTRA and NOT Joe Francis which makes it not applicable to his Wikipedia page.

What do you say Falcon, can we start with these? Thanks! Mantrafilms (talk) 20:41, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure that the sources given would qualify as reliable per se. As the LA Times is considered a very reliable source, and the Wiki article references what the LA article says and does not comment on the truth of the matter, I'm not sure that we should change it at all. Honestly, I don't care overmuch as most of my work is reverting vandalism and not content disputes, but I think other editors will probably agree with me :/. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:31, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Additionally, I would just like to add I appreciate you taking the time to attempt to remediate your content dispute by discussing it instead of just repeated insertion like so many do. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:32, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
  • Hi Falcon,

I understand that the LA Times is a very reliable source, but you have to understand that it can be very bias as well especially due to the fact the Claire Hoffman is not the biggest fan of Joe Francis. Some of her writings in the article are not based on objective facts but are more subjective opinions that may display Mr. Francis in a bad light. With that being said I ask you to please reconsider.

Anyway, what do you say about the other two? Can they be modified on his site please? :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mantrafilms (talkcontribs) 22:11, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

I changed the Riley sentence for clarification; however, I disagree that the factual accusations against the company he owns and operates are not relevant. Falcon8765 (talk) 22:23, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Additionally, I added "Francis disputes her version of events.[7]" to the Hoffman paragraph to be more balanced. Falcon8765 (talk) 22:32, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Falcon. I will continue to research reliable sources to back up additonaly changes that we would like to make. Thanks again! 74.10.57.162 (talk) 17:34, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Downey

Dear Falcon8765,

As an alum of Downey High School (class of 1995), I am generaly interested in what wikipedia has to say about my alma mater. I see that you along with a few other people update the Downey High wiki page on occassion. I was just curious as to why you took interest in my fair school? Also, i see there was some discussion as to whether or not James Hetfield actually went to Downey High School or not. I can attest that he did. I don't know if he graduated, but he did show up for his yearbook photos. You can go to the Downey High library and ask the nice librarian to see a copy of the 1979-1980 Downy High School yearbook. Also, a friend of my Fathers was a few years older than James and stated he taught James how to play guitar (I don't believe him either, but you never know).

Anyway, I have frequented editing wiki pages in the past... sometimes as a vandal. Now that I see what considerable amount of time and effort that goes on in the background I won't do that anymore. So anyway, thanks for taking an interest in Downey. Perhaps one day you'll visit Downey, eat at the In and Out on the corner of Firestone & Lakewood, before you head down to Downey Studios for a tour. It would probably be one of the most boring things you did in Southern California... but hey, at least you can say you walked in the same foot steps as the Carpenters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.142.206.77 (talk) 06:32, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. I don't edit any particular subject, but whatever appears on the recent changes page or that is flagged as possibly vandalous by WP:HUGGLE, amongst other category editing and such. Unfortunately, unless a reliable source that states that he attended the school can be found, I'm not sure of its inclusion. A reliable source would be a biography of his life or something similar. Revert of an edit to Vince Cable

Hi,

You reverted an edit of mine to Vince Cable because I used a Conservative blog site as a source. I would ask you to review your revert, in particular it would be good if you could note that:

1. I used the conservative blog link as a cite for the *accusation* against Vince Cable. It is undeniably true that the (currently unsourced) accusations are largely coming from Conservative supporters, and the ref I added even shows an extract from The Sun (known to supporting the Conservatives in this election)

2. I added a further reference to a *refutation* by Cable

I am in the process of adding more balancing references, and it wonder if you could hold off your trigger finger a little and give a little more consideration of edits such as mine before reverting.

Update: I am going to try make that edit again, with some further changes. I thank you in advance for your time in reviewing changes on wikipedia.

Thanks,

Paul Jakma.

Saying he's a troll is different than thinking he's a troll. Saying "It appears you are not focused on the content of the article," is acceptable. Saying "You are wasting everyone's time and provoking others," is borderline. Saying "you are a troll," is not acceptable. You don't need to say everything you think. Hipocrite (talk) 17:04, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
I'm aware of WP:CIVIL. It wasn't intended as an insult. It's pretty clear that there are large stretches of baiting on that article's talk page, aka trolling. It was more for the information of other editors. But whatever, I honestly don't care a particularly large amount if other editors want to feed trolls and utilize their time poorly in a non-ending dispute despite indications that he isn't being productive. Hi Falcon8765,

I created a page for Justin's and I noticed it was recently tagged for speedy deletion because it "does nothing but promote some entity or product and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic"

I was hoping you could provide some suggestions on how to become more encyclopedic. I didn't think it said anything "promot-y", but then again, it is my first article.

Any specific criticism would be much appreciated. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justinsnutbutter (talkcontribs)

Dear brother/sister

My intention is to inform the readers of Wiki pedia about college of accountancy and management studies. This is a new college and hence I would like to inform about the courses. There is information about competing colleges like London School of Business and Finance.

Please guide or outline how I can write an article for information about the college.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Banitsawhney (talkcontribs)

Infamy Speech edit delete

I'm a little confused as to why this was deleted twice. The first time you said it required a source so I gave the site as the source and then you said it was advertising. Whether it can be interpreted as advertising is debatable. It was a true statement that was posted, back by a reference. What did I violate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.246.97.211 (talk) 23:58, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Sorry for the confusion, I just don't think it particularly relevant. Feel free to readd it though. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:03, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Removal of PROD from Jamie Zubairi

Hello Falcon8765, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Jamie Zubairi has been removed. It was removed by Jamiezoob with the following edit summary '(I have entered more notable citation for this living person)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Jamiezoob before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Removal of content from "02:46, 3 May 2010 75.83.90.210".

Removal of content from "02:46, 3 May 2010 75.83.90.210".

This content was provided by Leslie Zemeckis who recently directed a 2010 film "Behind the Burly Q" where former musicians, comedians, novelty acts and strippers from the Golden-Age of burlesque talk about the stigma attached to working in a burlesque show. I feel she is accurate in her data, and it could be verified.

So I am very unclear what your position was to remove it. Please help me to understand so we can add more value to this page regarding Burlesque.

Thank you,

In Spanish, French and Italian, denonyms are NOT capitalized.

If it is a rendering of the Spanish word, as the italics clearly denote, then it should be spelled in lowercase: latino, whereas in English it is capitalized: Latino. Why must you impose anglo capitalization rules on our beautiful language? Gringo tienes que ser!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.157.140.204 (talk) 21:29, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

This is the English Wikipedia. Falcon8765 (talk) 21:31, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
I agree that if words or sentences from other languages are included, their orthography must be correct within that language. You wouldn't insert German or Greek sentences with wrong capitalization, right? As stated by the complaining user, the words are written in italic, implying they are not English versions. 88.64.99.64 (talk) 07:12, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

888

I added 888 as the number of Jesus twice but you reverted them. Here is the Edit Summary: Greek Numeral System; name of Jesus in Greek is ΙΗΣΟΥΣ; Ι=10; Η=8; Σ=200; Ο=70; Υ=400; Σ=200; add them up; total is 888. Pls check Internet.

After you have checked the Internet and find what I say is valid, could you please add it? 211.31.24.202 (talk) 00:35, 6 May 2010

Violin

What is your association with http://breizhpartitions.free.fr/en/violin_scores.php? You seem to have no problem allowing a similar link to exist on the page, yet the link I posted, which is an arguably more comprehensive resource, is deleted. I am forced to believe that you are directly associated with http://breizhpartitions.free.fr/en/violin_scores.php, so you have incentive to leave that link in place. Is this the case? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.99.39.108 (talk) 14:13, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, missed that one. Removed it too. Falcon8765 (talk) 14:14, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I don't know what makes you so smart.

You could be in error when you take off some people's edits. NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK just something to keep in mind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.43.69.220 (talk) 07:34, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm aware of that, and the are more than welcome to discuss it with me should they disagree. Falcon8765 (talk) 07:41, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Take your last comment in responce to mine for example. Have someone proof read it and tell you whats wrong with it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.43.69.220 (talk) 02:36, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Besides soon as you get offended or don't like what yous see you erase it. Who put you in charge of this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.43.69.220 (talk) 02:38, 10 May 2010 (UTC) A lot of people might be offended by some of your comments. Those of which could be considered personal attacks. You should be reported with your IP address blocked and unable to edit wiki. Goodbye I am done wasting time on you. I am just going to report you to Jimmy himself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.43.69.220 (talk) 02:42, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Falcon is perfectly entilted to remove comments left on his/her user talk page, as although they belong to the community users are given wide latitude in managing their talk page, including removing comments if they wish. This discussion shows that Falcon in perfectly willing to discuss any useful feedback you have on his or her behaviour, however the comment removed [4] clearly can not be considered useful feedback. BTW I can't see anything particularly bad about Falcon's reply which you said should be proofread by someone else. Yes he/she left out the y in 'they' but considering you used 'responce' in the reply and left out an apostrophe in "what's" you probably shouldn't be making a fuss about that. (Proofread is also usually either spelt as one word or with an apostrophe BTW.) Nil Einne (talk) 13:52, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
