Re Opensooq - you should try drafting it in your userspace, at User:Existed/Opensooq, and then let me know when you are finished. Please bear in mind our guidelines against advertising (WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV), and our requirements of notability (WP:WEB) and independent sourcing (WP:V). Message from Deb[edit]

This reference doesn't work: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/The-new-Dubai-Libya-open-for-apf-3545294597.html. So at the moment I don't see evidence of notability. I recommend you to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for further assistance. Deb (talk) 15:27, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Existed, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. I am One of Many (talk) 16:12, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In answer to your query on my talk page, the text you created in your userspace has been deleted, correctly by another admin. I note your request, but regret that I do not have the time to re-write all articles which appear not to be encyclopedic. Yor suggested text has been removed as an apparent advertisement, I removed it earlier under speedy deletion criteria as being a non-notable website. If you wish to pursue you attempts to post about this topic you will need to address both of these objections. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 19:52, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Opensooq[edit]

It's basically spam.

  • The "History" and "Content" sections largely consist of self-promotion by the founder of the company. Sourcing spam doesn't make it less spammy
  • Opensooq is targeting all different types; families, youth, company holders and all types of business in order to create C2C, C2B and B2B communications. unsourced claim
  • "Locations" consist entirely of external links to affiliated sites. There shouldn't be any url links in the text, let alone obvious COI links. You can have one external link to the company in an "External links" section.
  • it's all about what the company does, and what it sells. Little about the company itself. Where are its headquarters? How many employees? Turnover? Profits? Has the company ever received negative publicity? Who are its competitors? It would help to show how it meets the notability guidelines if this was added.
  • You appear to have a conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.

Incidentally, you don't need to post the text on your user page, I can access the deleted material (I did read it anyway before deleting to see whether there were any material changes). If you want to do a draft, do it in your sandbox Jimfbleak - talk to me? 08:31, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Opensooq[edit]

Hello Existed,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Opensooq for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Tobias1984 (talk) 11:20, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
