Is that you, boss?

I noticed you created this page, so I thought I'd bring this up with you:

Wikipedia still doesn't have a page on paralogy. I found this frustrating after reading a popular book on homology in genetics and wanted more detailed information. There is a short, inadequate section in Homology (biology) about paralogy, but the information you wrote in a paralogy regions is more detailed and apparently better sourced (though not quite as easy to read).

Perhaps, as someone knowledgeable in this subject (according to your contributions, at any rate) you could create a page Paralogy (genetics) (there is already a disambiguation page Paralogy) and merge into it Paralogy regions and part of the Paralogy section at Homology (biology) (leaving a summary there, of course)?

Paralogy regions and Paralogy[edit]

Yes the paralogy section in homology is short but its probably the right place for it. Perhaps what I should do as a minimum is move Paralogy regions to become a new section within homology, directly after 'Paralogy'. I will also check the paralogy text. Since there is a disambiguation for paralogy then a user will find the right page. Euglossa (talk) 10:21, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Meetup 3[edit]

I'm sorry that you couldn't attend the second Oxford Meetup. We hope to keep this as a regular event, every two months, on the first Sunday of the month (in order not to clash with London [second Sunday] and Reading [third Sunday]). I have created a page about the third Oxford Meetup; please sign up if you think that you are able to attend - if the date or venue are unsuitable, please comment at its discussion page.

Please spread the word to anybody else who you think might be interested. The next UK meetup is Reading, 20 January 2013. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:54, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just a reminder (because some people haven't seen the geonotice) that the fifth Oxford Meetup is this Sunday. Are you able to attend? It would be great if you could come. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:23, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
