Picture[edit]

I saw your very nice picture from the Älvsborg Bridge. Do you happen to have a picture of the Älvsborg Bridge? Also, are you the photographer? The source of the picture should be added. Otherwise, it might get deleted. Thanks. -- Samuel Wantman 07:48, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I came to this page thinking I'd explain how to add the documentation to your picture, but I see that you have figured it out. So do you have a picture of the Älvsborg Bridge? Would you be up to writing a short paragraph about the bridge and adding a picture of it? To create the article, just follow the red link to the bridge (above). Also, you can sign your name when leaving comments by simply typing " ~~~~ " -- Samuel Wantman 21:18, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the picture. One last question. Is it Älvsborg Bridge or Älvborgs Bridge? --Samuel Wantman 19:46, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gothenburg references[edit]

Hi. I really like that you provide detailed references to Gothenburg. I want to point out a few things about references though, that will make it easier for everyone.

  • Mention the year the book was published, for example "En bok", A.A.Författare (1996).
  • If the sources are from particular pages in the book, be specific and mention it, for example "En bok", A.A.Författare (1996), p. 300-301 .
  • If information comes from a website, give the exact URL.

This will make it easier for anyone wanting to check the references later. See further Wikipedia:Citing sources

Haganygata.JPG[edit]

Hi Erik,

I am a Wikipedian, who is mostly active in Turkish Wikipedia. One of my friends there saw that picture of yours and wanted to use in an article. But the problem is, the license you chose is one of the few ones we decided to abolish (Well for the new pictures at least) and that's why i wanted to ask you if you'd consider licensing it with another licensing system. For example Creative Commons would be a wonderful choice, since you still can hold some of your rights for the picture. You could request that you're attributed for each use ({{cc-by-2.5}}) or you could request that after creating a new picture based on yours, the same license must be used ({{cc-by-sa-2.5}}

CC licenses are getting popular each and every day. After a quich research you can find out more about it.

Thanks in advance.

Wingårdh[edit]

Hi there! Nice work on improving the article but I do have two questions. Why did you remove the text that had the information about his awards from the article? And the image in the infobox is really bad, a full face image or the image of Universeum would be much better.--Krm500 20:55, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kurt Atterberg[edit]

I tried to class up the music section but you're evidently not having it & since you jumped on it so quickly I won't try again; you're clearly neurotic & I don't have the time. I was of course simply having a laugh by calling Atterberg the 'greatest' Swedish composer (tho' he of course is that), knowing that it would at some point be changed by an uptighter, but your perverse insistence upon returning to the drivel about the pop & indie scene and its previous wording is simply self-destructive; it makes you and the city look retarded. G being Atterberg's birthplace is its greatest claim to cultural fame. You had Ace of Base and your beloved Death-metal as being representative of G's musical life. Think about it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.22.61.9 (talk) 18:13, 30 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Well, I don´t know what to say. But thank you for your crystal clear psychoanalysis of my character, I really feel enlightened. Whoever you are.Erik031 14:53, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Universeum1.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Universeum1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 23:30, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
