I saw that you had created Category:Mshasho Productions, Category:Gazza, Category:Sunny Boy and Category:Music of Namibia, but I don't think that they fit the usual way that categories are handled on Wikipedia, so I've listed them for discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 November 3#Mshasho Productions. Town and city categories Namibia[edit]

Hi Enots,

and greetings from Windhoek to Windhoek. Thanks for helping out with the categorisation of Namibian settlements. I have outlined what I intend to do on Category talk:Cities, towns and villages in Namibia and on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Namibia.

For this reason, I just restored my last version of List of cities and towns in Namibia, reverting your changes. If you have conflicting information about which settlement is a town and which is a city, please provide a link on the discussion page - the sources I used are in the bottom section of the lists.

Also, when categorising settlements as towns/cities/settlements, please take out the general category [[Category:Cities, towns and villages in Namibia]]. This category should be emptied over time, duplications are not necessary.

January 2014[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give "Freeway" Rick Ross a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October![edit]

Greetings!

After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.

The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. Join us in this global edit-a-thon, by helping to create or expand articles which are connected to this scope. Also remember to list your name under the participants section.

Problem with your custom signature[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
