The critical reception section of the song explicitly says: ""Hard" "exploit[s] Rihanna's most appealing vocal style, a sulky, icy, monotone – uniquely among the pantheon of showboating R&B divas, Rihanna often sounds as if she's about to roll her eyes and tut." And the that is your opinion that the vocals aren't monotone as it is WP:OR as critics have called Rihanna's vocals montone, which has use on Wikipedia and is citable.
