Feedback For Your Main Article Options[edit]

I found this website and thought it may be helpful for Francesco Griffo http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=frascesco+griffo&qpvt=frascesco+griffo&FORM=IGRE (to add some images).

Plan of Attack[edit]

The two articles from my list of I have a plan of attack for are for Francesco Griffo's page and Eduardo Benito's page. Both pages are stubs with little information on their lives and achievements. I plan to search for scholarly journals, articles, books on the two men to retrieve more information on them. Francesco Griffo was an Italian typographer, who was known for working with Aldus Manutius. Also, he is known for the many types he created. Eduardo Benito was a Spanish fashion illustrator and painter known for his famous designs on Vogue Magazine covers. I did search on Google scholar/books and I wasn't able to find much information and unfortunately my slas account is not working for me to log into the CSI library. Once that is fixed I will search for books and scholarly articles. However, on Google books I found books that mention some information on Francesco Griffo. The book is Bound in Venice: The Serene Republic and the Dawn of the Book by Alessandro Marzo Magno, in where she describes briefly his contributions to typography and a little background on his tragic end. For Benito, I was able to find pictures of his Vogue covers but not much on his biography from any scholarly sources. The pictures of his Vogue covers will be very useful for the visual part of the article. Emariemag (talk) 16:45, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is a plan of attack. You (obviously) need to get your library account working, as you need your sources posted by next week. I would go with the one with more sources/information available. Do you have a sense of which one of these figures has more sources available?--Theredproject (talk) 18:04, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review One[edit]

Hi Emariemag!

Great start on your contributions to the Will Burtin wiki! I commend your layout and believe you have added some main points of Mr.Burtins life and accomplishments. A suggestion would be to separate his contributions into sub-sections. You can also add a gallery of his work. I know he contributed a great deal to the design of cells, in which you did add on his page, so maybe you can add a small gallery to display some of his work. You can find out how to add images and which ones would be acceptable in the tutorial on the syllabus page. I hope you don't mind but I added a line from an article i found in the beginning of your "style" section and cited it as well. Great job so far! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thank you for the suggestion. Adding a gallery is a great idea. I'm trying to figure out how to do that, so I will review the tutorial. I also took your advice on adding sub sections for his work. I added sub sections for the major companies he worked with and his projects. Thanks!

Thanks for working on the paraphrasing problems on your page. It looks like you have more work to do, no? When you are finished, please leave a note on my talk page. You have until Thursday evening to complete any further changes. Cheers. --Theredproject (talk) 02:32, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
