Hi!

It's exciting to hear from a relative of an article subject! Thanks so much for your interest in your grandmother's article. One of the tenets of Wikipedia is the use of published sources to substantiate data in articles, versus original research. So, I looked over your edits and have a couple of comments.

  • Elenore's year of birth is routinely published as 1875 (listed a few sources in the article) and I found that her passport generally stated that her date of birth was October 18, 1875. So, I returned the year of birth to 1875, but added a comment about the possibility that her year of birth is 1876. Do you have a published source (book, magazine, etc.) for her year of birth?
  • Thanks for the correction of the year of her marriage. I was able to find a record for a source. I think I confused the year of birth for her daughter.
  • It seems like there's an error either in the name of the painting or in the year of the published Smithsonian Institution record. I'm a little confused about the Untitled name of painting from 1930 - is that supposed to refer to the same painting or another painting? It would be wonderful if Brandywine had a list on some website of Elenore's paintings and the years that they were painted. Or, a newspaper article to refer to, perhaps.

Thanks again. It would be lovely to ensure that all the date is accurate in the article and it's great to have your input! I'm sure we can square this away quickly.--CaroleHenson(talk) 06:50, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
