Image Tagging for Image:Danielle.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Danielle.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Good work![edit]

Thanks for the sourcing work you did recently on one of the ANTM articles that are under debate on Afd Yoanna House. I have been participating in the Afd and watching the dispute over sourcing mostly from afar, and somewhat avoiding touching the articles themselves. I think that was a great way to help resolve the conflict as well as constructively teach other users about good sources versus bad sources. I intend to look more closely at the differences, because any edits that can appease two editors in conflict is something I want to emulate. Good work!

Following a AFD vote on America's Next Top Model (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Caridee_English), it was mentioned that Wikipedia pages on America's Next Top Model contestants are unsourced and unecyclopedic. I put a great deal of effort into repairing the pages Danielle Evans and Yoanna House to properly source all information and edit the article to sound more encyclopedic. However, my edits to Danielle Evans have been completely removed by an anonymous user, and replaced with unencyclopedic text which reads more like a press kit than an encyclopedia article. My question is: What is the best method to bring this to light? Should I edit the page and put a citations tag on it or should I voice my concerns in the talk page? I do not want this to escalate into a revert war. Elcda0 00:35, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
First voice concerns on the talk page. Then if problems continue check out WP:MEDCAB. —— Eagle (ask me for help) 00:50, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio images[edit]

Hello, i would like to highlight certain things, i understand your concerns over putting up copyright images which can be found online etc. I would like to let u know thast the pics which i have put up and all self made and in no ways offensive or slander to the subjects concerned. The pictures are means to promote the top 3 and aesthetically, the pics do not clutter up or make the article untidy. I do seek your cooperation that the images that i had obtained to self-make are all copyright -free, which are released to the public otherwise they would not released it online. I do seek your understanding and hope that the pictures which I contribute are in no means to degrade that subject but more to highlight and promote the television network reality series. If youcan help me, then help me add the copyrights free tags for me, cos i do not know how to.... thanks ya. If u have more queries, perhaps u can enlighten me by suggesting useful tips by adding the tags. Thank you. Gentle reminder that all the images i uploaded are copyright free - there are in no way conflict with the person's interests whatsoever that demean them but to promote them. Please understand.

Then in that case can u help me put the tag on the images cos the images like Nicole, Naima and the top 3 finalists from Cycle 7 are my own creations. they are not taken from the internet whatsoever... so please suggest what i shd do - there is to omany things in Wiki to add the tags on, so it is very confusing for me! I know u are an ANTM fan, i am a resourceful ANTM provider as well... so i hope u understand where i am coming from.. it is not juz screenshots, if u wish to make that image low resolution, why don't i release the rights and u make the images for me in low-res so it is possible to load up! I hope u understand that i am not being persistent, i juz want the poages to look good that's all! Thank you!

You can try pointing out the following to Stealthusa:
If there is still a problem and no one else responds to your {{helpme}}, you can try Wikipedia:Requests for administrator attention or Wikipedia:Resolving disputes. —PurpleRAIN 19:42, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pronouns in trans biographies[edit]

Thanks for your note. The editor you cite is mistaken. Legally, Caroline Cossey is female per the UK Gender Recognition Act 2004. Further, it is generally accepted practice by journalists to use the gender by which someone identifies. See 2006 AP Stylebook for citation. This is not "opinion," but fact based on journalistic and legal precedent. Please feel free to correct that misinformed editor. Jokestress 02:03, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your ANTM image[edit]

I'm not an expert, but that image you uploaded from Cycle 1 most likely qualifies for fair use, since it's small, was used in advertisements, and (most importantly) was released by UPN.com as a promotional image. The issue JKelly and I are having with Apollolancer and Stealthusa is something different; those two are uploading the photoshoot pictures from cwtv.com, believing them to be in the public domain. Elcda0 18:16, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ahhhh, ok. The ones from the CoverGirl shoot? I saw that. Yes, that definitely needs to go. Let me know if you need me to back you up with that issue :o) tiZom(2¢) 18:18, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am a little upset that you are crediting somone who uploaded ANTM Cycle 1 Promo pic where in the first place, it is me... Here you are trashing me in public talk like this and you have never given me any fair amount of reason to explain myself. I hope this is the last time that i will receive anymore backlash from you as lately you have been trying to play boss around here. What makes you the moderator of all the ANTM pages? The pages belong to Wikipedia and are subjected to fair edits by people at their own discretion. So by reverting and lashing at people who have no ill intentions isn't the right way to educate people!! Stealthusa 22:16, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Issue clearance[edit]

The issue JKelly and I are having with Apollolancer and Stealthusa is something different; those two are uploading the photoshoot pictures from cwtv.com, believing them to be in the public domain. - this statement has been flying around the pages of jkelly, tomtheman, and other users that are somewhat slightly involved in this and others that arent supposed to be involved. I see that my name has been brought up alot in their talk pages as well huh? If that's not subject to public embarrasement or such, then what is it?! If u wish to subject to online bullying by getting administrators to block me after a few attempts to upload pics which i thought was a fair contributions. Why dun u perhaps tell me in the first place that it is uch a big deal to load those images whereby i saw hundreds of other websites referring or dedicating to likes of ANTM and others are also using pics from CWTV.com. Let me set this str8, if it is such a BIG deal, will CWTV gonna kick a big fuss and sue the living daylights out of everyone, do u think they have time to do that? Also u did not specified clearly why there is copyright infringements. the links that u gave me are juz Wikipedia's general rules and such and they do not describe any form of infringement at all! If that's the case, what abt other reality TV shows like The Apprentice, Survivor, Big Brother, etc, they contained pics that r copyrighted, etc, are u gonna use that to condemn those who uploaded the pics?

For yr info, i did not get Apollolancer into this... u assume juz because he/she upload new pics, that's gotta be associated with me and somehow u blacklist me to the administrator by telling them i rounded up ppl to do this. I am quite upset about this - juz because u THINK u moderate or modify the ANTM pages, NOTE: doesn't make you the EXPERT in the knowledge of ANTM history, trivia and contestant's background. There are other people outside who are much better than you.

About me testing your patience, what about you testing mine? I juz didn't like the way u handle the sitiuation by being a tell-tale. Should your apporach be any less harsh and judgemental, then perhaps i wouldn't so peeved about this situation. And I do not appreciate with yr tone to address me. Just give it a rest, I'll take it that we rub off wrongly on each other! And from this moment onwards, I advise we refrain from any future correspondence. I'll leave yr 'pages' alone, U leave me alone... Please do not reply back...

Don't act as if you are the mature one and i am not! You are already behaving immaturely by replying back when i specifically told you not to! I will not take it personally if u stop bothering me and send me messages!! If you choose to ignore my so called immature request, perhaps I will choose to ignore you completely!!! Stealthusa 11:13, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are causes and effects in many situations. Examples like these, is that the reason i react is because of you provoking me. If u didn't provoke me in the first place, perhaps u would understand i will not do such things like that over here.... Would u think i have all the free time in the world to trash things like that? U stirred up things and therefore i react, that's it. Nothing more... I am tired and i dun wanna carry on arguing anymore. It seems like we are both logheads and we will have ouyr own rights and our reasons to react. So perhaps juz let it end here and carry on with our lives. If u would to know me, i'll not behave like that unless i feel i am provoked or agitated which more or less like the latter. So i will be cool it if u juz let it go and move on. There's more to life than juz Wikipedia!
