Hi there... is this the right place to address you on your "User Talk" page?

(I'm quite new to Wikipedia editing...!).

Yes, you removed some stuff from the Bromley Borough page and I don't disagree with your reasons, I only wish you had discovered the changes in a few days (or weeks).

But I have to ask: do you have some connection with BLBC? Because a more neutral response on your part might have been to remove what you thought was too opinionated, leaving the stuff that isn't, including the map and the link to the BLBC website.

I am now going to try editing again. I'd be grateful if you could in fact answer the question about your links (if applicable) to BLBC.

Ta very much!

Hi, I have no connection with BLBC whatsoever. Have a read of WP:NPOV, WP:RS and WP:UNDUE, and please keep your editing in line with those policies. Also, please read WP:EW and WP:BRD and please seek a consensus of the article talk page before you try to insert similar material again - If you reinsert the same kind of editorial opinion into the article without getting a consensus, you might end up being blocked. 823510731 (talk) 17:13, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, also, you should have a read of WP:AGF and start out by assuming that when someone reverts your additions it is with good motives and not because they must have a connection with the subject. 823510731 (talk) 17:17, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

OK... about the email from the head of BLBC's Head of Traffic Safety... what are the rules about citing private correspondence like this? Because it is entirely germane to the issue that this person has this point of view about 20 mph speed limits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrPhibbs (talkcontribs) 17:20, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The rule is simple - a private email is not a reliable source in line with WP:RS and cannot be used as a source for article content. 823510731 (talk) 17:23, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, please sign your messages by appending four tilde (~) characters, which Wikipedia magic will turn into a signature with a date and time. 823510731 (talk) 17:24, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

OK... you seem to have reverted the article again, removing even the content you allowed back in. There are a couple of points here: - it is impossible to read the text of the map unless it is quite large - the map is not my copyright, but I made the jpg file. What is the procedure for getting permission from 20splentyforus.org.uk (which they would give, obviously)... I mean how can I upload something from somebody who has given copyright permission (because it's a Yes/No answer)? - AGF is fine... but how much "GF" did you show me by deleting my edit entirely... and then reinstating it with a map the text of which is impossibly small... and now apparently redeleting my stuff? - NPV: I question the notion that your comment about "not one of the minority of boroughs" was neutral. Your actions and words seem to indicate that you have a distinct view about traffic policy in Bromley and that you are interpreting "neutrality" of PoV accordingly... Hi. I'm starting a discussion of this material on the article talk page, which is where it should be discussed. I'll provide you with a link as soon as I have submitted it. 823510731 (talk) 17:36, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

I appreciate you catching that, I've never had anyone actually try & mess with my user page before. I s'pose it's to be expected when you're notifying them of violations.JamesG5 (talk) 19:15, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No problem - happy to help. 823510731 (talk) 19:20, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello![edit]

User:EightTwoThreeFiveOneZeroSevenThreeOne Hello! Thank you for taking the time to modify the speedy deletion on Deadly Buda. I have added to the talk page the specific reasons why the article is significant, credible, and in fact, notable. Also, I'm planning to add more to the article. If you can remove the speedy delete nomination, thanks in advance! DonFrenzi (talk) 18:49, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, happy to do so - my A7 speedy tag is now removed. 823510731 (talk)
