Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Glykeriaektosprogrammatosfront.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ilikrinacoverart.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ilikrinacoverart.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hey[edit]

Hey, I saw what you did to Annette Artani and have noticed what you've been doing to the pages for other Greek singers, good job. Me and user:Greekboy are in the process of improving articles related to greek music. If you want to help, leave a message on my wall, and see our To Do List. Thanks. Kalomoira[edit]

You cant leave that cover of Secret Combination up because it is obvious that you took it from the internet and not from the album that "you own". It has her fanclub stamp on it. Grk1011 (talk) 01:39, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Audio samples[edit]

Audio samples should only be put on the songs page. If the infobox is blue then you shouldnt be adding an audio sample. Grk1011 (talk) 02:25, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pointers[edit]

Hey. Thanks for all the hard work with the song samples. But just a reminder, Audio Samples should only be on pages about the specific song, and not on CD Single pages that include other songs like Remixes 2004. Also, we only create a page for the specific song if it has been released as a CD Single like Call Me (Anna Vissi song).

Also remember that you are not allowed to copy information from other sites and put it in wikipedia articles, and that you should only upload fair use images, i.e. images that you own. Also it is discouraged by wikipedia if you use non-free images such as album covers in the artist infobox. Again, thanks and keep up the hard work. Here's another one: can you write back so we know you get these messages? Thanks. Grk1011 (talk) 00:05, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Katy Garbi[edit]

Pictures[edit]

You can NOT upload "promo pictures" for the Greek artists and use them for the infoboxes. Those pictures are copyright, and will eventually be deleted fro wikipedia. Wikipedia dosnt allow them. I just wanted to let you know, because the majority of your pictures will be deleted. Greekboy (talk) 19:25, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your Edits[edit]

To be completely honest, some of your edits are really starting to piss me off. Everyday I have to log in and fix stuff that you do wrong. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums and Wikipedia:WikiProject Songs for how to do things correctly. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all that you have done in expanding the coverage of Greek music related articles, but please do it in an appropriate what that doesn't create more work for other users. Particularly, pay attention to categorizing, naming, and adding wikiproject banners to the talk pages of the pages you make. Please RESPOND to this, and maybe i can help you out. Hryspa[edit]

Do you know when Hryspa's birthday is? Her website says she was born in 1982, but also says that she released Tora at 18 in 2003 meaning that she would have to be born in 1985. Me and Alex are stumped. And I would still love song samples for Antique (duo)'s singles :)Grk1011 (talk) 04:10, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Katygarbipromo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 01:19, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:21, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:Harisalexiou-herodion.JPG[edit]

File:Harisalexiou-herodion.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Haris Alexiou - live performance in Athens.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Haris Alexiou - live performance in Athens.jpg]]. Sound samples[edit]

Hello. I've noticed that you upload numerous music samples for various articles. Do you think that you could tell me how to do that, please? It would be nice to add to some of the articles, and that way you wouldn't get stuck doing so many requests. BTW, I went to your userpage and tried to e-mail you there, however, it sent me to Greekboy's page. Both Grk1011 and I stole our user layouts from Greekboy, however you have to change the link on "leave a message" to your talk page. Thanks in advance. ...Is nominated for deletion on Commons, the images status as "own work" is questionable in my eyes. You may provide the full version of the image or a version with camera EXIF. Maybe you can describe the circumstances you toke this photo and provide a similar photo to proofe the claim. --Martin H. (talk) 12:13, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The files you uploaded to Wikipedia, in the meantime transfered to Commons are nominated there for deletion. See the discussion page linked in the headline above. --Martin H. (talk) 14:01, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please come and explain yourself on this deletion request, particular relating to fresh accusations that you cropped out a logo on one of your uploads. If you fail to respond, all of your Commons uploads may be deleted, as well as some on the English Wikipedia. You don't seem to have an account on Commons but you can easily create one like on the English Wikipedia. Alternatively you can merge your account so it works under the name Egtheod on all Wikimedia Projects, please go to Special:MergeAccount to do this. File permission problem with File:Marinella-liveathinonarena.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Marinella-liveathinonarena.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Redsky89 (talk) 06:40, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Mambosample.ogg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Mambosample.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Meine Mazi Mou Apopse has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable album by obscure musician.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
