Brendan Burke[edit]

Your reasoning on why the article should be kept was very articulate. Thank you.

His name is pronounced like "breeze". Why are you changing it? --Arxiloxos (talk) 06:56, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because the correct pronunciation is ‘breece’, as Brees himself told WWL-TV. – EdvardMunch (talk) 07:08, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a reliable source for that? I see someone on a message board claims that this is the case, but every announcer pronounces it the other way. I'd be inclined to delete it completely per WP:BLP unless a cite can be identified.--Arxiloxos (talk)
The relevant WWL-TV segment can be watched online here (go to #21). It's at the 04:21 mark. – EdvardMunch (talk) 07:30, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, and mea culpa. I am, in fact, very familiar with saintsreport.com, but I don't live in New Orleans and this particular thread, and broadcast, had utterly escaped my attention until now. I am not quite sure how to cite it properly, however. Any suggestions? I've added a citation, quoting the relevant content in the footnote.--Arxiloxos (talk) 07:38, 19 February 2010 (UTC) updated 08:23, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
