Stalking[edit]

There is definitely a problem with certain editors stalking Wiki contributors with whom they have personal vendettas against and butchering articles out of malice which they have absolutely zero understanding of. This behavior only diminishes the usefulness of Wikipedia and forces readers to seek alternative sources of the information they are looking for.--Editor5435 (talk) 06:03, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Wikipedia a waste of time?[edit]

Its becoming a complete waste of time to trying to maintain Wiki articles. My time is better spent elsewhere. Anyone considering becoming a Wikipedia editor should realize what they can be dragged into. I can see why Google is still the best source of information on the Internet. Wikipedia is not a reliable source of information due to the constant tampering of articles by bad faith editors with their own agendas.--Editor5435 (talk) 04:36, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion page on Wikipedia itself states:

"Should there be mention of the fact that because it is so unreliable as a source of citation, WP is banned in most UK Universities?"

I guess I had higher expectations of what this was all about and had no idea about the type of unsavory characters participating in Wikipedia before signing up.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
