Re: My message[edit]

hehheh yeah, about that. I am using a semi-automated tool and I accidentally warned you when I was trying to warn someone else. That's why I removed the warning. (you did nothing wrong!) Regards. Thingg 01:17, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Guidance[edit]

hmmm... I'm not really familiar with Battlestar Galactica, so you may want to get a second opinion on this, but as far as I can see, the other editor does have a point. Although there is nothing wrong with rewriting something in any article, if you come into conflict with someone regarding your edits, you need to discuss the matter on the talk page in a civil manner. Simply readding or removing information without discussion can cause an edit war and can be a violation of the Wikipedia policy against reverting a page 3 times in a short amount of time. Again, because I am not very familiar with the subject matter, I can't really tell you whether your version is better than the one that was there originally, but I can tell you that whatever you do you do not want to get in a revert war because it can result in the page being fully protected (ie. only administrators can edit it) and/or result in temporary or even permanent bans from editing that page. When you discuss the matter, always remember to remain civil and refrain from personal attacking. Also, one more thing, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter exactly how an article is worded as long as it is accurate. If the other editor insists on keeping the article his way and won't back down, you should probably just walk away and edit somewhere else for a while. Just keep it cool and you will be fine.
