Welcome!

Hello, Dw817, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Sholu, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! ALI nom nom 00:42, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sholu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fictional element of a non-notable novel.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ALI nom nom 00:42, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Sholu, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sholu. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ALI nom nom 11:55, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

May 2010[edit]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. ALI nom nom 16:28, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to contest deletion you have to state your reasons on the article's discussion page here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sholu. Leaving messages on the article itself will not accomplish anything. ... discospinster talk 17:35, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:25, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Unicode[edit]

This is in response to the message you left on my talk page about http://www.decodeunicode.org/. When I go to http://www.decodeunicode.org/ I don't get redirected to http://www.typografie.de/Our-Books/Typography/Johannes-Bergerhausen_Siri-Poarangan/Decodeunicode::1409.html unless I actually click on the "The Book" link. The rest of the site still works, and I am able to search for any unicode character or view them by block. Underneath the link to the book are menus for "HOME" "UNICODE-BLOCKS (ALPHABETICAL)" "UNICODE-BLOCKS (GEOGRAPHICAL)" and "PROJECT" as well as a search box. --Ahecht (talk) 20:14, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
