Prod Bulletproof (RATM album)

Hello Duffbeerforme, I noticed you prodded Bulletproof (Rage Against the Machine album). While deletion may be valid, as it does not present a strong case in terms of WP:NALBUM, I propose an alternative to merge some of the content into Rage Against the Machine discography#Live albums where there is currently no reference to this recording, yet the album is clearly documented in third party discographies elsewhere on the Internet.   • I've nominated it for the non-notable person speedy, but I still think it could have been deleted as a sockpuppet block evasion. I'm just a little miffed that it was declined by someone who didn't have the ability to check the previous page versions, which was why the editor had been tagged as a sock. Good faith is all fine and well, but I really wish that he'd had at least asked for the reasons for the user being blocked as a sock before saying that calling the editor a sock was "unfair and unjust". I disagree with user Duffbeerforme with their claim of Seven Factor in not notable and should be deleted for "being best known as front man for non notable band". 1st, the band being reffered to as Non Notable, was notable. their wiki page was deleted due to act of vandalism...this entire proposal to delete seems to be based off of that one aspect of an obviously multi level career. 2nd. Seven Factor was also associated with notable bands such as Crossbreed ( artemis records) and 16VOLT ( METROPOLIS RECORDS) Links to these bands are on the wiki page. 3rd. Seven Factor is the resident engineer at the world famous KDS STUDIOS in Orlando Florida,Formally transcon studios which launched such bands as NSYNC and the backstreet boys. Eminem has done his last 3 albums in this studio. His clients in this studio include some of the top selling artists on the billboard charts past and present. 4th. As a solo artists he has done remixes for notable bands Such as Tweaker, and Psyclon Nine.. and has a FACEBOOK VERIFIED Facebook page of just under 60,000 followers. 5th.As a producer and engineer he works closely and collaborates on projects with grammy and platinum sales award winning artists such as Chris Vrenna( Nine Inch Nails. The Hype Magazine AFD

Thank you for fixing the name of The Hype Magazine. The magazine IS a print outlet available in retail stores, distributed by Kable Distribution Services. The magazine DOES advertise its services for both advertising and promotional placements, which is standard practice in the entertainment magazine business. While many such as Vibe, XXL, Source, etc., are not so aggressive as The Hype Magazine, the do have media kits which provide information on how to obtain, promotional, featured article services and advert placements both on their online and print magazine versions. The Hype Magazine is not doing anything different except being more aggressive via its social media. Multiple editors have worked on this page AND it was denied on first attempt via the articles for creation process. Upon editing according to the requirements, this magazine was approved for inclusion and the various citations and awards while not significant to those outside the entertainment industry, makes the magazine notable within its industry for certain. Also, when has a magazine or its publisher been honored by a major city council outside of its HOME area for its impact as a news outlet AND a growing national brand. I would like to put up the City Council of Atlanta proclamation on the page, but the picture is stored in Flickr and I have been told that Flickr is not an acceptable resource...I am open to any guidance as this was my first article under the Magazine Wiki Project. Lastly, it's not often that magazines gain outside coverage on them by other outlets...seems to be a fear there.Chastized (talk) 16:37, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

I am not a "shill" and I have not connection to Jerry Doby. I am not an "advocate" for ANYONE and you will notice by me contributions that I edit multiple different pages. The magazine article on The Hype Magazine was created using the AFC template and ANOTHER EDITOR moved it into article space, not me. It was declined at first as you will notice and then I made the edits required to make it wiki worthy. I DO make mistakes in creating pages or editing pages and I appreciate other editors that help make me a better editor however, I do not like feeling as if I am being attacked. The-Pope. Hi your holiness. How article naming works. The title of the article should be the name they are best known as. For Sydney's Josh most reports call him Josh, not Josh P, eg Sydney Swans' Josh Kennedy says AFL grand final clash against Hawthorn will be 'a great battle' and Josh Kennedy is used to a battle of allegiances when his Sydney Swans come up against Hawthorn (GNews hits Josh pages vs Josh P 4). So is should be titled as Josh Kennedy. Same with the other Josh. Since that name is shared we need to add something else to separate the two. We add that after the main title and in brackets. We don't change the main title. If you don't like dates, any suggestion of something else.
I'm just as familiar with the naming rules as anyone here. GHits are fantastic to prove anything you want. 91000 hits for Josh P. Kennedy too. 50000 for Josh J. Because there are two current players, they are known in lots of non-news sources with the middle initial (news sources can have full sentences to provide club-context, web lists/stats pages and our titles can't, so are a better gauge of how to succinctly separate them). My point is not that Josh P Kennedy is the most common, but that it isn't uncommon, and where team context isn't possible, it is common. Your first two examples are examples of this, both refer to Sydney in the article title. Bottom line is you've changed it from some users knowing what the article name night be (fantasy football players), to virtually no one outside his immediate family knowing what the article name would be, as the date of birth is less known than the middle initial. Josh Kennedy is the most common so that should be the title. If you don't like the disambiguation then suggest another. Teams would be the one known by the largest numbers but that appears frowned upon.
Josh P. is not uncommon so should be used as a redirect.
Where would these people not know? In a diambiguation page, eg Josh Kennedy, it lists the teams so people know from there. If they are searchong for Josh P. Kennedy then that name will appear in the search box so no confusion there. In article the name should be piped so there is no confusion from the disambiguation there. Context or team should identify them in such places, eg 2014 Brownlow Medal shows Sydney Swans' Josh Kennedy and Josh Kennedy (Sydney). Where team context isn't possible (anywhere?), pipe it from Josh P. There should not be anywhere where either version can cause confusion. duffbeerforme (talk) 12:54, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

All right, Duff, I'm sorry for mentioning you. I do forget things but I will honestly try not to make that mistake again, unless the purpose of mentioning you is either neutral or positive. However, I have sincerely worked hard to become consistently civil on Wikipedia instead of trying to give certain people what I think they deserve. That's history. It was wrong. Besides, it badly damaged my health.
Since we coexist here on Wikipedia, I think it's best to not hold grudges, which is why as a goodwill gesture I am humbly requesting your help. You see, in my opinion (and based on things that you have said about promotional material), I think something very deceitful is taking place in the Marshall W. Mason article. I have substantially improved the references but when I removed an inappropriate external link, an editor got upset, reverted my edit, and defended the external link on the talk page of the article. I think it's great to try to resolve issues on the talk page, but he should have waited to see how the discussion ended before reverting my edit. After all, even though many Wikipedians have much more experience than I do, this guy is a newbie. He's upset that soon I reverted his own reversion. I then spent quite some time showing him on his talk page how to properly cite sources but he didn't even thank me. Anyway, I detected in that article what seems to be a clear violation of the rules, but I don't know how to deal with it, plus if I bring it up he will think I have something personal against him since he's already upset with me.
Here's the problem. Although a picture in the article was deleted today, the other picture seems equally wrong to use in the article. It's the picture of a book Marshall W. Mason wrote. Notice that it's being used under Fair Use. The image uploader (same editor as before) stated: "The image is used as the primary means of visual identification of the topic discussed in the article." But Duff, how can that be an honest argument? The article is about Marshall W. Mason, not about his book. The only reference to the book that I can find in the article merely says "He is the author of the 2007 book Creating Life On Stage: A Director's Approach to Working with Actors." There is no discussion about "the topic" in the article, which he is deceitfully claiming, in my opinion. Now, if the article was about his book, then fine, but that's not the case. What this contributor did does not seem to comply with Fair Use, which states (on the same page where he made that false statement) "It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of book covers to illustrate an article discussing the book in question qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Other use of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, might be copyright infringement."
So, do you agree that what he did was wrong? The way I see it, the image of the book is in the article merely to promote sales. But I don't know how to deal with this type of situation, plus as I said, that editor is already very upset with me. P.S. I've been reading WP:NFCCP and I fail to see how the inclusion of the image meets criterion 8:
"Contextual significance. Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding."

Thanks Duff. Perhaps the thing that bothers me the most on Wikipedia is when I see people who either upload a picture, claiming that it's theirs (when that's a complete lie), or they upload a non-free picture using a totally dishonest free use rationale, thinking they will get away with it. There should be severe consequences, like a three-month ban, at least, in my opinion. Besides, at Commons you have to wait around two months to get a picture approved when a declaration of consent is involved, and to some degree that's because the OTRS team are spending so much time tracking down copyright violations. Thanks a lot for voting in the AfD discussion. It's very frustrating when I go through the trouble of opening an AfD and then no one shows up to vote, which happened with Marcelo Monte, but that article was deleted anyway. There seems to be a guy with two accounts, as "Flavio Teixeira Prado" and "Mathias karl estress", who created the Marcelo Monte article (a racing driver from Brazil). He uploaded two pictures for the article, claiming that they were his own work, but one was found on the Internet, belonging to someone else, so it was deleted. But then he uploaded it again, I caught him, reported him, and it was deleted a second time. The other picture is gone too, after this discussion, which began after some research that I showed to a guy at Commons. But the story doesn't end there. This dishonest person was saying that Marcelo Monte deserved an article because he had raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1984. I looked at the 1984 Le Mans article, and sure enough, Marcelo Monte showed up as one of the drivers, but later I discovered this, and this. Now how bad is that???
Anyway, Duff, if you create or participate in an AfD discussion and few people show up, just let me know on my talk page, and I'll do my best to help reach consensus. Please choose a musician or a band for me (if you want to) since I mostly edit articles of that sort. Thanks again for your help, and have a great day.
