Sorry about my dumb tag of your Crystal Fractal Comics article! Is there any chance of expanding the article though? SMC89 14:58, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I ask about expansion because another user has tagged your article for deletion. You really need to assert the notability of the subject =)

The article Crystal Fractal Comics has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 15:03, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have formatted the first of your references. They generally go in-line, meaning they are included in the text. Through the magic of technology they show up under the references area, don't ask me how, this is all a great mystery to me. If you have any questions seach "wp: citations" in the search box. You can also search wp: notability, wp: photos, wp: whatevertopicyouarecuriousabout for the articles explaining various Wikimysteries. Good luck. A tag has been placed on Crystal Fractal Comics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Crystal Fractal Comics and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please note: press releases do not count as reliable sources. Hi Dslennox. Thanks for writing me about this. The references you gave me on my talk page would help to show notability, although they are problematic. The first one appears to be from the U of T newspaper and a college newspaper might not be considered a reliable source. Still it's better than nothing and far more comprehensive than the SNAP article, which would probably be considered "trivial coverage". Still, you're on the right track. I would include those links if you decide to rebuild the article. Have you received any notice in the main Toronto daily newspaper? That would be a big help. --GentlemanGhost (talk) 10:56, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
