Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to User:Doctor.Sheesh. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Hello {{re|Ks0stm}} the creation of the page was not meant for promotional reasons, but rather to further expand on the local company database, as Qatar is a young nation and in means of expanding its meadia. Its of great importance to note and add other companies within the region.

Hey {{re|Ks0stm}} , after reviewing the page after you comments I decided to remove any sort of vernacular that could be perceived as advertising. If possible please point out to me anything that could be done to further improve the page and make it bias free.

Hello, Doctor.Sheesh. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. The page User:Doctor.Sheesh has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This article needs to be rewritten from scratch from reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not an outlet for promotion, advocacy, or advertising.

Information on content and common pitfalls to avoid can be located here and here, however be aware that this is not an exhaustive list. Pages can sometimes avoid these pitfalls and still be seen as an ad copy or unambiguously promotional, particularly if the editor appears to be a paid editor or has some other conflict of interest. Please review these policies, including the FAQ page on organizations to determine if this applies to you.

Common mistakes or beliefs about promotional editing center on the assumption that promotional editing only applies to promotion for commercial gain. Some tags or G11 nominations are met with confusion by creators, particularly if they spend much time reading or creating corporate documents, mission/vision statements, or similar copy for their organization. The frequent exposure to promotional tone may make it difficult to notice non-neutral phrases or styles, as the editor has grown accustomed to seeing it as everyday writing or speech. This can be difficult, but not impossible, to unlearn.

Another common assumption is that the prohibition against promotional editing applies only to businesses or organizations. Anything can be promoted, including a person, a non-commercial organization, a point of view, etc. and CV/resumé's are by their nature promotional.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see this page on citing sources. This page has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{Reflist}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there. New article creation can be difficult, but the Article Wizard can help you. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems. You can also ask for help at the TEAHOUSE and on IRC chat.

New article creation can be difficult and frustrating. Sometimes it is better to first gain experience by fixing and helping maintain existing articles. Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask contains links to things that badly need doing, if you are so inclined.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because you are clearly here only for promotional purposes, and because this account has been used to evade a block placed on another account to prevent spamming for the same company. (Note that it makes no difference whether the accounts have been operated by the same person or by different people working on behalf of the same business.).
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  JBW (talk) 13:05, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello Whomever may read this, I had no intention of supplying promotional content, my intent of the page was only to document. I have no issues making the changes needed in order to make the page unbiased as possible. As I mentioned before I felt the importance of documenting companies in Qatar to be important due to the fact that it will soon be a booming economy, especially as the world cup will be hosted here. I would like to request an unblock in order to re write the page and fix it, aside from the documentation in Qatar, It has been a passion of mine to contribute to the knowledge of society. Hence why I wanted to start locally where I reside, if it is possible I would greatly appreciate it. Also in regard to the sources, there do not seem to be any third party sources I can cite from, as no one in Qatar seems to document anything here. Is there anything I can do to add more important companies here in Qatar, or a possible work around? Doctor.Sheesh (talk) 08:29, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If there are no independent reliable sources that discuss a topic, that topic cannot be on Wikipedia. There is no "work around" for this. Wikipedia is not a directory where mere existence warrants a mention, this is an encyclopedia with criteria for inclusion, called notability. Since you are only here to promote Qatari companies, there are no grounds to remove the block. You also have not touched on your block evasion. 331dot (talk) 10:45, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please place comments below, for proper chronological discussion flow. 331dot (talk) 10:45, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@3331dot: I don't know what block evasion is, or how i was block evading.

Block evasion is the act of avoiding a block and editing anyway. If you have used another account, that is block evasion. 331dot (talk) 20:34, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@3331dot: in that instance I was not block evading. My question now , is that if there is a way to return my account so I can edit and update sources.

Either you were paid to promote these companies, or that you operated multiple accounts, or that you lack the competence to edit Wikipedia. Why not take some time to read instructions and our policies? 0xDeadbeef 09:21, 25 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
