Your userboxes

@Diriector Doc: I see that you started adding instructions to the userboxes that you created, that is very smart since people keep on messing up Category:Userboxes. I added the instructions to almost all of the userboxes that you created. There is only one that I found hard to add the instuctions to, so you will have to do that yourself. The one that I had trouble with was the one with the two seadragon userboxes.Catfurball (talk) 21:14, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks. I've been doing stuff for school these past few months, and then I didn't do much over the holidays, so that was a big help. Also, I will try to get the rest of your requests completed eventually.
Keep in touch, you know where to find me.--Diriector_DocTalk

Disambiguation link notification for March 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurants, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bloomberg (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:15, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Need some help!

Can you help me with this? I would like it to show a userbox for only me, whichever page it’s in. Not using the rootpagename template, but detecting my username. Here’s the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Littlecat456 (talkcontribs) 10:22, March 12, 2020 (UTC)

@Littlecat456:, I've looked into it, and I'm not sure if what you're asking is possible. I think your best bet is the {{ROOTPAGENAME}} magic word. Sorry about that. --Diriector_DocTalk

Hello.

Hello, Director Doc. I didn't know if you created user boxes or not, but I saw that you created Poydoo's user box today. I was wondering if you saw my requests, or not. I didn't want to be pushy, but I thought that you did a great job on Poydoo's user box, and so I was wondering if you could do my requests, or not. Thanks so much!

Shadowblade08 (talk) 00:14, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

@Shadowblade08: Yep, I saw your request. I will get on it as soon as I can. --Diriector_DocTalk

I'm Aya Syameimaru!'s userboxes:

I made over 80 userboxes and 24 switches as of today. They're all fancy and professional looking ones, look User:I'm Aya Syameimaru!/userbako and User:I'm Aya Syameimaru!/2020 for a collection of them I did. I hope you like it! «ias!|,,.|usbk» 11:54, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

@I'm Aya Syameimaru!: Oh, yes. I am quite familiar with your work. Your expertise at CSS is genuinely an inspiration. My favourite ones are from your February collection. Keep up the great work. --Diriector_DocTalk

Remove position: absolute

Please remove position: absolute from your signature immediately. It is causing your signature to appear at the top of the page. --Izno (talk) 14:51, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

That's strange. I don't seem to have any problems with it. I've been using it for almost a year now and you are the first person to have this issue. I've viewed it myself on numerous devices and all of them seem to display it without issue. I will look into fixing it, and if I get another query like yours, I will remove it until I find a compatible replacement. --Diriector_DocTalk

I see it in Timeless skin ([1]). While there may be an issue with the skin, it is also generally not good CSS to be setting inline elements to absolute. What effect are you trying to achieve?
Aside from that point, line breaks are also discouraged severely in WP:SIGAPP. You should remove yours. --Izno (talk) 18:34, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
Ah, I see it. I use the Monobook skin. You can see how it is supposed to look using that skin. I'll get to fixing it ASAP. --Diriector_Doc (talk · contribs) — Using {{User}} for now 18:44, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I checked in Vector after I left the note and it doesn't show up there either. Timeless is probably annoyed because of the CSS presumably necessary to implement responsiveness. --Izno (talk) 00:09, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
Here's what it looks like for me. Note the the right pipe lands in the middle of "Contribs", which bleeds over into the timestamp. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 13:18, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you both for pointing out these issues. I have changed my signature and tested it out with multiple skins. It is still not perfect on Timeless, but at least it gets rid of the position:absolite problem. --Diriector_Doc├─────┤TalkContribs 14:30, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

Control Z

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Control Z shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.BradfordTalk 01:51, 3 July 2020 (UTC)

@Bradford: Are you kidding? The edit war regards you as well. I tried avoiding an edit war by taking the reasoning to the talk page, but that didn't work, you reverted the changes anyway. How am I in the wrong here? --Diriector_Doc├─────┤TalkContribs 01:57, 3 July 2020 (UTC)

Brawlhalla edits

Hey, you revised my thing about how Brawlhalla had most game sales. Although I probably shouldn't have used the world sales, I was trying to point out that Brawlhalla has the single biggest player base, more than any other fighting game out there, as you can see Smash Ultimate has only sold about 20 million copies from the link that you sent on that page. I was saying it had the most downloads/sales as a singular game, not as a franchise. Also out of curiosity are you anyone known in the community or just a random player like me?

TCArk1234 (talk) 03:35, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
@TCArk1234: It's really hard to determine fanbase size. A Brawlhalla fan can download the game 5 times on different devices whereas Smash players need to spend $70 every time they want a second copy, which is not likely anyway. 50 million players is a hefty milestone, for sure. However, you can not simply determine "most popular" from this statistic given all the variables.
I am not widely known in the Brawlhalla community per se. If you have to ask, that proves it. I occasionally stream Brawlhalla Speedruns on twitch. Not trying to brag, but I am fourth in the world for the Tournament Mode category. I also happen to be the top contributor on the Brawlhalla Gamepedia Wiki. That being said, no one knows who I am. --Diriector_Doc├─────┤TalkContribs 03:48, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
