Request reason:

@JJMC89:, while the account was created for the purpose of running a bot, all edits done by it were done in a non-automatic mode (essentially I was editing the wiki by means of a tool). I apologize it appeared to be done as an automatic edit. In the past, I have had nearly 3 million bot edits using my primary YurikBot account, but the goal of this (eventually automatic) bot is to make all wiki templates and modules compatible across wikis (per community voting and numerous requests). Hence I will need to keep this account separate from YurikBot to keep things easy to track. Please take a look at the mw:WP:TNT for all the documentation. I do plan to go through the proper bot application process (actually I already did at Meta, but unfortunately this bot would not qualify for the global bot flag unless we change rules. Sincerely, Yurik (talk) 00:28, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Unapproved bots are only permitted to edit in their (or their operator's) userspace. I know what the bot is for. If BAG approves it for trial, then I have no problem unblocking it. — JJMC89(T·C) 00:38, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@JJMC89: I must have misunderstood the rule - I only ran it on a small number of pages (essentially just the Template:Shared Template Warning plus Module:TNT once) -- due to the nature of the bot. I cannot run it inside my user space or a sandbox, because the page must be listed in Wikidata -- so I was following that guidline in spirit (limited use, small number of edits, sandboxed edit), but not in letter (no edits outside of the specific list of pages). --Yurik (talk) 00:47, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
