whattime.is[edit]

Please stop adding links to whattime.is. Frankly, it just looks like you are spamming a site you are connected with. They don't add anything useful and you're putting a site that shows the current time at the top of the external links. That's really looking like spam. Please don't add them further. See WP:ELNO. Ravensfire (talk) 15:46, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, read WP:NOTVANDAL, reverting your edits is part of hte WP:BRD cycle and certainly not vandalism. Calling them as such is considered a personal attack and strongly frowned upon. Please stop doing that. Ravensfire (talk) 15:49, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ravensfire, you are doing exacly a vandalism by removing a totally valid content. And you are totally right, you are doing a personal attack on me by reverting all my changes while leaving a totally similar (also valida) edits by thousands of other users to other timezone services. Delphir (talk) 16:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delphir, Nope, it's not vandalism. You don't like it, okay, it's still not vandalism. Stop describing as such. Second, WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Not talking about other sites, talking about YOURS. Trying to force your link into articles is just promotional editing, you need to stop, discuss, and wait for consensus. Ravensfire (talk) 16:03, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So in fact you don't have any real arguments why these links are "spam" (as per your comments in your reverts) other than "I don't like you are adding them!" as links are valuable in fact. You even noticed that they were "useful" for other moderators for months, but you personally "don't like" so other's opinion does not matter, right? Delphir (talk) 16:21, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

They add zero encyclopaedic value to the article. People know where it is, they can figure out the time. Having a site to tell them the current time does nothing to help them understand the subject. And what other links are you talking about? Canterbury Tail talk 17:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately the same "logic" can be applied to the whole wikipedia then. People know the city-name, they can google everything else, no? whats the point to fill pages with content if people can figure-out everything themselves? Delphir (talk) 17:13, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What is your connection/relationship to this site? Canterbury Tail talk 17:45, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of external links noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:External links/Noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is whattime.is. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 16:00, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's obvious you're going to revert over and over - that's textbook edit-war and rather than go to that level, I'm seeking outside views. Ravensfire (talk) 16:01, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
