I met Ted in Sacramento California a little over two years ago. He was very co-dependent. He spent his money on his car, rent on his apartment for one year in advance, and women(prostitutes)/drugs/alochol. How do I know this? I was one of the women he spent the money on. He got a two bedroom apartment so his sister would have a place to "hang-out" and do alochol and other substances with him. I have true compassion for Ted, I feel he was a victimized by this documentary. What a waste of someone else's money. If showtime is gonna invest money on a reversal of fortune project, do it on someone who is open-minded and willing to do the internal, emotional work to get there (like me). What were they thinking? Ted had no concept of money and how it works, nor did he have a desire to better himself. At the end he sold his truck and fixed his teeth, at this point he knew the money was running out but didnt want to do anything to ensure his future. The IRS was after him. Ted did drugs, alochol and saw prostitutes also. I suggest that reversal of fortune screen it's prospects better. They would have came out better throwing the money out of a plane. There are people out there who are working hard to change their lives, this requires open-minded, willingness, and honest, Ted obviously had none of these.
