Sanity[edit]

Per consensus at [1], do not use unusual capitalizations unless they're near-universally used by independent sources, as that shows how it is used in general use, not promotional ones owned by a company, which have a self-promotional purpose. I know copy-paste comment While ESPN, F4W, Sky Sports, Slam Wrestling do use capitalizations, other sources, like pwinsider, pwtorch, prowrestling.net don't. @Nickag989: Do we have a consensus? All I see is one guy claiming a very questionable use of WP:MOSTM, which while being the official policy IMO is not particularly useful here since we're not talking about corporate brands, we're talking about a pro wrestling team and characters on a TV show. It also implies that for some reason we should discount official WWE sources, which to me is bizarre to say the least since that literally is the official source on this matter and resource we use for ring names, match results etc. And even if we are using WP:MOSTM, I would consider the overwhelming array of sources using the captalization to be enough to satisfy that, certainly seems weird that you would have three individual reporters from relatively small websites using improper capitalization and that being able to overrule WWE on what their own characters names are, as well as much larger and more reputable sources like ESPN, Wrestling Observer, Sky Sports etc etc. Also, the WWE roster template that you reverted literally has reDRagon, with that capitalization, right next to SAnitY. So yeah, maybe we should properly attempt to find a consensus on this because it's pretty ridiculous to continue using the improper capitalization IMO. The "Yeah yeah, mainstream websites are more popular than any other pro wrestling sites unless WWE" is still an understatement. However, even some of them, like uproxx, and forbes are still using the default capitalization. Nickag989talk 20:13, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Nickag989: The official source and the majority of third-party sources use SAnitY rather than Sanity but that's not the point, the point is that using WP:MOSTM in this way is not helpful because it means that we end up with a minority of unaffiliated third parties effectively telling WWE and the wrestlers what their own team is called. At the end of the day if WWE bills the team as SAnitY then that's what it's billed as, they are the ones who make the decision, not some random guy writing for pwtorch. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day.
