2007 24 Hours of Le Mans[edit]

Would you mind explaining to me why exactly you felt it necessary to change all the links on the results page for the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Not only have you done nothing but create red links that go nowhere, but in the process you've also eliminated good links to sponsors and manufacturers that were already in place. See for instance that Team Peugeot Total gives readers two links they can go to, while Team Peugeot Total goes nowhere and offers no information. The359 (talk) 22:44, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because I thought if someone wanted to create something about Team Peugeot Total, I made it into 1 thing, worked for [[Audi Sport North America & aswell for the car chassis. I was'nt sure why most of the Lola chassis' like say the BO7/17 was under a different Lola racing chassis, same with the 997 GT3-RSR, I don't know why when you clicked onto that does the road going 911 GT3 come up.
Nobody's going to create something about "Team Peugeot Total" or "Audi Sport North America" because those entities do not exist, they're only entrant names. The correct articles would be Peugeot Sport or Champion Racing in this instance. In sports car tables, unless there are actual pages for those articles, we don't add links. When we create pages, then we go back and had the links. Sure, there are lots of red links in the Le Mans articles, but we should probably clean them up. Or create articles. Things such as cars are under different headings because of variants. B07/17 is just a variant of the B06/10, so it is discussed at the B07/10 article. The 911 GT3-RSRs are racing variants of the 911 GT3, so they are discussed at the 911 GT3 article. Hi Danny. I am not sure that individual GP2 Series races are notable enough to warrant their own articles, so have have started a discussion on the subject here, where you are welcome to participate.

I went onto the GP2 website & it came up under Campos Racing Michael Herck instead of Sergio Hernández so I thought that'll need a bit of editing! Strange - I went on to the GP2 website to follow it up and couldn't find anything. Was it the official GP2 website? Group C[edit]

Don't know why you blanked the page, but I reverted the contents since what was produced after your blanking was completely incoherent, mal-formated garbage. I'm not really big on auto sports, so I don't know if the info posted in July is out of date or not. I hope you won't blank the page again without reason. If you don't think the 2009 Formula Le Mans Cup season deserves its own page, then please follow the normal deletion procedures. Liverpool F.C. wiki[edit]

Hello, I am the lead sysop on the Liverpool F.C. wiki. It is a wiki dedicated solely to Liverpool F.C.. We aim to make the ultimate database for the club we all love. Since adopting the incredibly inactive wiki about a month ago we have greatly increased the article count and modernized it from it's previous state. The problem is there are not many active members on the site and we need more for the site to properly grow. It is well organized and on it's way to be a great site we just need more editors to expand. It is based on Wikia's network of wikis. Like Wikipedia it is free to use and the editing process is exactly the same. If you know how to edit Wikipedia you will know how to edit the Liverpool F.C. wiki. Now for the question you may be asking yourself. Why edit there? Wikipedia has articles on Liverpool. This is true. At the Liverpool wiki it is all about Liverpool. We allow editors to edit anything about Liverpool no matter how trivial. We allow edits on reserve and academy players, and even things as trivial as the fitness coaches for the year 2011. We also do not lock pages to registered users. That means if you have something to say about Steven Gerrard you can click edit and not view source and actually write something. Le Mans Prototype Technical[edit]

Article currently reads LMP2 - intended especially for privateers: minimum weight of 900 kg (1984 lb) or 920 kg (2028 lb) for 2010 cars in 2011 configuration. WRC results tables[edit]

Hey. I think the addition of Power Stage results to the driver tables should be discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject World Rally. They make the tables very crowded for the top drivers and it seems unnecessary to repeat this information from the season article(s). There were "power stages" in the 1990s as well and these are not currently mentioned in the relevant tables. LM drivers template[edit]

Your work in adding these charts to numerous driver pages is appreciated, but for the longest time something has bugged me about them. The layout of the information seems a bit odd, and in fact I would go so far as to say backwards. The first key point I think is that the tire of the car used is one of the first real bits of information presented from a L-R reading format, and I just cannot understand the thought process behind this. Surely the team he drove for, the car he drove in, or the co-drivers he drove with are are more important than the tires that were on the car?

To be quite honest I think the chart has too much information for a review of a driver's career. A simple look at Ryan Dalziel shows someone who has various driver charts, none of which are as specific on chassis and engines as the LM chart. Tires are also not something that is important to the career review. These specifics can be found by the reader linking to the specific Le Mans article. I'd even go so far as to say that the ACO shorthand for cars should be used (chassis name-engine manufacturer) to eliminate unnecessary information.

To me this is a much better, simplified chart that presents information in a much better layout in terms of hierarchy of information:

Hi there. I appreciate your input on the LM record template. I did not realise that the most important info would go on the left, hence the tyres were first on the template. Your version of the template is more simple and easy to read although I would add the amount of laps the drivers completed to give the viewer an idea of how good or bad the driver did in comparison to other years. Just a quick question; when you're updating the career stats tables, could you also update the infoboxes located at the top of each page, so each are up to date and stay in sync? Le Mans results tables[edit]

Hi Danny 93. I have noticed you have been updating the Le Mans results tables for numerous drivers and was wondering why you are specifying a fixed width of 600px for the results tables? Most (all?) other race results tables don't specify a table width and just let the browser decide how wide the table needs to be. The fixed width of 600px causes unnecessary wrapping in the "Team" and "Co-Drivers" columns for numerous drivers - see Shinji Nakano as an example. Regards. I shall address the fixed width issue right away as I have noticed on various templates that is does cram up the table unnecessarily. Hey. Among your formatting changes, you have accidentally removed the ending quotes from style="..." that are, unlike the semicolons in these cases, required for CSS style to work. Invite to the African Destubathon[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male.
