He was very proud of his community work[edit]

He was very proud of Bishopthorpe white rose community football club which has 559 plays from 4 to senior . He set it up from nothing and as a family we raised 80 ,000 to get a ground club house which was sadly opened n the day he died . 21 years as a family to do this still involved with his son in law still the chairman Gary Featherstone .
