A couple of tips[edit]

Hi, Cucumberkvp. I noticed your contributions at Bog body and appreciate your jumping in to help. I do want to give you a couple of tips. We use bold letters in Wikipedia articles only for specific things -- typically only for article names and section headers (See WP:MOSBOLD). Also, words which are red links in articles are fine and can be left alone -- they readers identify subjects which don't have articles yet and encourages the reader to create one by pushing the link. So I have re-adjusted the edits you made there recently.

Also, I would like to caution you to be careful of accidentally removing good information -- for example, turning Colisa into a redirect as you did here would lose a perfectly fine article. In general, before making any major edits, like a redirect, you should start a discussion on the article talk page, with the article creator, or from other editors working on those kind of articles. For example, in the case of the Gourami article, you will see on the article talk page that it is a part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Fishes. You can discuss any changes with other interested editors at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fishes.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. Good luck with your editing. CactusWriter | needles 16:04, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Hi, Cucumberkvp. I realize you are currently retired, but I hope you can do me favor. I want to pass a message onto your editing friend User:Boy of The Waters. If you are able to, please have him contact me here on Wikipedia. I'd appreciate that. Hope all is well. Cheers. CactusWriter (talk) 16:52, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply, Cucumberkvp. Let him know that he is welcome to contact me through my Wikipedia e-mail. As well, he is free to open a conversation on his user talk page if he wishes to request an unblock there. Cheers. CactusWriter (talk) 19:58, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Aquarium listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Happy Aquarium. Since you had some involvement with the Happy Aquarium redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. - TheChampionMan1234 04:18, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
